Avelo Airlines, the low-cost start-up carrier, has announced service to 3 new cities as it rounds out its ever-growing route map.
Let’s take a look!
3 New Destinations for Avelo Airlines
In May, Avelo Airlines will begin flying to 3 new cities: Brownsville–South Padre Island, Texas (BRO); Charlottesville, Virginia (CHO); and Colorado Springs, Colorado (COS).
First, the low-cost carrier will offer nonstop service from its Hollywood-Burbank Airport (BUR) hub to both Colorado Springs Airport (COS) and Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport (BRO).
Service from Colorado Springs begins May 3 and will operate 3 times weekly, while service from Brownsville starts on May 17 and will operate twice weekly.
While Avelo is headquartered in Houston, the service from Brownsville-South Padre Island marks the airline’s first foray into the Texas market.
Additionally, the airline announced earlier this week that it would begin nonstop service between Charlottesville, Virginia, and Orlando. That service, which begins May 3, 2023, will operate twice weekly. Avelo will also connect Orlando to Brownsville-South Padre Island with a new nonstop route beginning on May 17 operating twice weekly.
With these new routes, Avelo says it now serves 35 destinations across the U.S.
“The addition of these three new destinations and four new exclusive nonstop routes exemplifies our commitment to bringing affordable, convenient and reliable air service to unserved and underserved communities across the country,” said Avelo Airlines’ Chairman and CEO, Andrew Levy.
Avelo’s Sale Fares
To celebrate the new routes, Avelo is offering introductory fares to encourage bookings.
Introductory one-way fares between Burbank and Colorado Springs, as well as Orlando and Charlottesville, start at $49. One-way flights between Orlando to Brownsville start at $69, while fares between Burbank and Brownsville begin at $89.
All fares must be booked by March 2, 2023, except Orlando and Charlottesville, which must be booked by February 28, 2023.
Remember that Avelo is a low-cost airline, so you’ll pay extra for checked baggage and seat selection.
Hot Tip: Before booking, make sure to take a look at Avelo’s optional services page before your flight for details on how much carry-on and checked bags will cost!
Avelo is expanding again by launching interesting new routes starting this May — including its first in Texas. If you plan to travel to any of the new destinations, take a look at Avelo’s introductory fares starting at $49 one-way and book ASAP!
