Hotels with pools are so common today that many people expect them to be a standard part of the vacation experience. However, some properties stand out from the others by offering guests rooftop views while they swim.

From the U.S. to Australia, these 12 hotels worldwide wow travelers with rooftop pools.

1. 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge in New York, New York

Starting Nightly Rate: $780

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most stylish (and sustainable) hotels in New York. From its welcoming and carefully curated decor to its spa and on-site restaurants, the hotel has become one of the city’s top accommodations.

Among the hotel’s most unique and stand-out features is its rooftop pool, which offers guests the chance to enjoy the NYC skyline while relaxing in the water. With its poolside lounge and numerous loungers, it’s easy to spend the whole day by the water during the summer.

Since the temperature on the East Coast drops substantially in the fall and winter, the pool is only open during the summer months and closes after Labor Day. While 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is pet-friendly, pets aren’t allowed on the pool deck. The pool area is only open for kids until 5 p.m.

Hot Tip:

If you’ve got a participating Amex card, you can book the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge on AmexTravel.com. This property, which is part of The Hotel Collection, offers special perks like a $100 property credit and a space-available room upgrade if you pay for at least 2 nights.

2. 137 Pillars Suites & Residences in Bangkok, Thailand

Starting Nightly Rate: $564

You can’t do better than the 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok for a luxury stay in Bangkok. Its opulently decorated rooms and floor-to-ceiling windows on its upper floors make it easy to have a VIP experience.

Among its world-class amenities are its Nitra Serenity Centre, gym, and, of course, pools. The rooftop pool lets guests get a panoramic view of the city while enjoying the water. Since the pool is only accessible to guests, it’s secluded and relatively quiet. Seating around the pool is limited, so be sure to get there early if you want space to lay out in the sun.

There’s also a pool a few floors down that tends to attract more people. In addition to the main pool, there are 2 smaller heated pools for a more relaxing soak.

3. Address Beach Resort in Dubai, UAE

Starting Nightly Rate: $572

Known for its sleek design and beachfront location, Address Beach Resort is one of the most luxurious hotels in Dubai. Its pool still manages to steal the show in a hotel full of stand-out offerings. Over 950 feet in the air, the infinity pool is the highest in the world and offers a panoramic view of the water and the city.

Due to its rooftop location, this pool is only available to guests 21 and older. However, there are other family-friendly pools on the hotel’s property.

Make your swim even more memorable by heading to the pool after sunset. It’s open until 10 p.m., leaving plenty of time to relax under the night sky. You can even order food until sunset for a full day at the poolside.

4. Corazón Cabo in Mexico

Starting Nightly Rate: $295

Corazón Cabo is a beach resort that’s perfect for people who want to relax by the water while on vacation. Not only does the resort have access to the beach, but it also has a rooftop infinity pool, so you can enjoy swimming with a view. Since the hotel is right on the coast, you get an unobstructed view of the horizon from the pool.

This resort has a wide pool deck with multiple chaise lounges and room to spread out and soak up the sun. There are also rooftop cabanas for a more private and luxurious day at the pool. You don’t have to go far if hunger strikes, as there is a rooftop snack bar. You can spend all day by the water.

Corazón Cabo has 3 pools on its property so crowds don’t get too intense.

5. Graduate Hotel in Tuscon, Arizona

Graduate Tucson

Starting Nightly Rate: $139

Located in the heart of the University of Arizona’s campus is the Graduate Tucson. The area’s youthful atmosphere is fueled by a steady flow of visitors catching up with friends, attending a game at the stadium, or exploring nearby colleges. This lively energy is also reflected in its pool scene.

Located on the hotel’s roof, it offers a spectacular view of the campus and the rest of the city as far as the eye can see. The pool doesn’t just have a great view, though. It’s also lively and fun, thanks, in part, to the deck’s geometric tiles and late-night hours.

Weather permitting, the pool is open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., so you can spend virtually every waking hour soaking up the sun. It’s even heated for year-round dips in the water.

Hot Tip:

Hilton acquired Graduate Hotels in 2024, meaning you can earn and redeem Hilton Honors points at these properties. Standard rooms can be booked for roughly 50,000 points per night, and elite members can even score their fifth consecutive award night free.

6. Grand Hotel Central in Barcelona, Spain

Grand Hotel Central

Starting Nightly Rate: $344

Located in the Old Town of Barcelona, Grand Hotel Central mixes historic and modern luxuries to create a unique vacation experience for guests.

While there’s a long list of things to love about the hotel, from its spa to its stylishly comfortable rooms, its pool is one of its most popular but underrated features. From the rooftop pool, you can see some of the most notable monuments in Barcelona, like the Sagrada Familia and the Santa Maria del Mar churches.

Since you’re high above the rest of the city, you can enjoy the atmosphere from a quiet and relaxing oasis. Dining is available without leaving the roof.

During the day, the pool area is a place to unwind and enjoy the sun. In the evening, it serves as a backdrop for the rooftop lounge, where you can enjoy live music and cocktails.

7. Hotel Skansen in Båstad, Sweden

Hotel Skansen Bastad

Starting Nightly Rate: $167

Hotel Skansen Båstad is one of Sweden’s premier spa hotels. Its seaside location and extensive spa services are perfect for a relaxing stay.

The rooftop pool adds to that atmosphere. It’s open all year long, allowing guests a unique chance to enjoy the different seasons high above the sea. Since the pools are heated, you can swim and soak even when it’s cold out. In addition to the large infinity pool, there’s a hot tub to soak in that’s open all year.

Drinks and light meals can be ordered and enjoyed on the roof, and there’s plenty of space on the sun terrace to tan and relax when it’s warm out. The rooftop pool is only open to guests 16 years or older, and an adult must accompany minors at all times.

Hot Tip:

When staying at independently-owned hotels like the Hotel Skansen Båstad, consider booking your reservation on Expedia or Hotels.com. As a One Key Rewards member, you’ll earn 2% in OneKeyCash for eligible hotel bookings, and you can earn even more points by paying for the purchase with a travel credit card!

8. Hotel Villa Franca Positano in Italy

For a truly special experience, visit the Gold Sky Pool Club, the hotel’s rooftop 360-degree pool. From the water, you can get a full view of the sea and the rest of the town from a perspective you won’t find anywhere else in Positano.

Guests who visit the Gold Club can get cocktails, snacks, and even lunch or dinner on the deck. An exclusive pool, there’s plenty of seating and shade for a comfortable day by the water.

Hotel Villa Franca is open seasonally between April and the end of October, and the pool is generally open the whole season.

Hot Tip:

If you’ve got The Platinum Card® from American Express, you can book this hotel through the Fine Hotels + Resorts program. Not only will you enjoy complimentary breakfast for 2 and late checkout, but you can score a $200 prepaid hotel statement credit on eligible reservations.

Starting Nightly Rate: $243

Staying at Hotel Zena is the perfect way to visit Washington, D.C., in style. It is a stylish and artsy hotel and a cultural hub of artwork, designs, and music from local artists on display on the premises.

If you visit between Memorial Day and Labor Day, head up to the rooftop pool for a one-of-a-kind view of the city. If the weather is still warm, the pool sometimes stays open through the end of September.

The deck is peppered with lounge chairs and cabanas for a comfortable day in the sun. In the evening, the pool transforms from a relaxing oasis to a vibrant lounge known as Hedy’s Rooftop, where drinks and small dishes can be enjoyed.

Cabanas can be booked ahead of your visit, but chairs are first come, first served.

10. La Vela Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Starting Nightly Rate: $300

La Vela Saigon Hotel is a luxury wellness oasis. With its gourmet food, plush, comfortable rooms, and breathtaking city views, it’s not surprising that it’s one of the most renowned hotels in the city.

That luxe expectation extends to its pool as well. The rooftop infinity pool is the highest in the city with the best views. High above the streets, it’s a quiet bubble of peace where you can unwind.

Palm trees and other greenery are planted around the pool to create a more restorative ambiance. When you’re not swimming, relax in one of the beachside chaise lounges or one of the semi-immersed chairs around the edge of the pool.

Since the pool opens at 6 a.m., you can head out first thing and spend the whole day in the water.

11. Marina Bay Sands in Singapore

Starting Nightly Rate: $881

The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is high above Singapore. Considered a paradise in the big city, it offers guests luxury, comfort, and sophistication.

One of the resort’s highlights is the Skypark Infinity Pool on the roof. It’s the largest rooftop infinity pool in the world and makes visitors feel like they’re in the clouds.

As part of the Marina Bay Sands’ policy of stress-free luxury, guests don’t have to worry about bringing anything but their swimwear. Towels, sunscreen, and water are all free around the pool. Anything else you need can be purchased at the hotel’s gift shop. Lounge chairs are available, but they’re first come, first serve.

You don’t have to leave the pool to grab refreshments. Poolside dining is available until 10 p.m., and beverages are served until midnight.

12. Park Hyatt Sydney in Australia

Starting Nightly Rate: $727

Park Hyatt Sydney has some of the best views of the city’s harbor, especially from the rooftop pool area.

It’s open year-round, so you can see the boats sail by and the opera house in the distance. The pool is heated during cooler months, so you don’t have to worry about an uncomfortable swimming experience.

If you’re tired of swimming, enjoy a soak in the jacuzzi tub or enjoy the panorama from one of the on-deck lounge chairs. You can even enjoy a drink or a light meal at one of the table areas.

While the pool is family-friendly, guests under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. There’s no lifeguard on duty here, so be cautious when swimming.

Hot Tip:

As a World of Hyatt Category 8 property, guest rooms can be booked for 35,000 points (off-peak), 40,000 points (standard), or 45,000 points (peak) per night. You can instantly earn World of Hyatt points by transferring Bilt Rewards or Chase Ultimate Rewards points to the hotel loyalty program at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

Whether you prefer natural landscapes or urban cityscapes, these hotels are ready to give you the view of your dreams while relaxing in a rooftop pool, no matter where you are. Hopefully, this list has helped you narrow your options so you can plan a getaway at the best place for you. All you have to do now is pack your sunscreen and book your stay.
