Whether you want a night out with friends, want to use points for Amazon purchases, or earn extra points on holiday shopping, Bilt’s December Rent Day has something for everyone!

The start-up has taken the points world by storm with its no-annual-fee credit card, top-tier transfer partners, and no additional transaction fee rent payments. Bilt first introduced Rent Day in 2022, which gives its Bilt Rewards members exciting offers, bonus points, and chances to win prizes to kickstart the month.

On December 1, Bilt Rewards members will also enjoy double points on non-rent spending with their Bilt co-branded credit card (though you need to use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points), a free SoulCycle ride at over 50 locations nationwide, a chance to have their rent paid, and unique offers for comedy, dining, and shopping.

Bilt Rent Day: December 2024 Edition

You don’t need to have a Bilt World Elite Mastercard® to enjoy Bilt Rent Day; everyone can access the perks by signing up for a free Bilt Rewards account. However, having the Bilt Card in your wallet does mean you’ll earn double points on the first of the month, excluding rent. You must use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points (See Rewards & Benefits).

3x Earnings With the Bilt Card

From November 26 at 9 a.m. ET to November 30, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PT, you can earn 3x points per $1 in categories that typically earn just 1x — excluding rent. There’s a maximum of 1,000 bonus points attached to this offer. No enrollment is required. This offer means you could effectively earn 3x points per $1 spent on gas, movies, or even buying holiday gifts for friends and family.

We value Bilt Rewards points at 1.8 cents apiece, so this offer could net you $18 worth of points.

Amazon Redemption Bonus With the Bilt Card

From November 26 at 9 a.m. ET through December 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PT, anyone with the Bilt Card will be able to redeem points with a bonus during checkout at Amazon.com. The exact amount of your bonus will depend on your Bilt Reward status tier and will be applied automatically at checkout:

  • Platinum: 100% bonus
  • Gold: 75% bonus
  • Silver: 50% bonus
  • Blue: 25% bonus

Typically, using Bilt points for Amazon purchases isn’t a good idea, as they’re worth just 0.7 cents apiece when redeemed this way. At best, you’ll get 1.4 cents per point during this promotion — double the standard redemption value, but still short of the value available with other uses of your Bilt Rewards points.

To utilize this offer, you must enroll at amazon.com/biltrewards. If you’ve previously linked your account, you don’t need to link it again.

Bilt Neighborhood Dining

Bilt will drop reservations with curated tasting menus and a selection of premium cocktails at top restaurants in its Neighborhood Dining program. Restaurants will be located in multiple cities and feature renowned chefs.

Reservations start at $75 or 5,000 Bilt Rewards points per person and will be up for grabs on November 27, 2024, at 11:50 a.m. ET for Platinum members and noon ET for all other members.

Bilt Neighborhood Comedy

Bilt has partnered with comedian and impressionist Matt Friend to curate shows at locations that aren’t your typical comedy club. Each show will feature up-and-coming artists, and tour dates include:

  • Washington, D.C.: December 8, 2024, at 1789
  • Boston: December 9, 2024, at Yvonne’s
  • New York City: December 10, 2024, at Lucali; and December 11, 2024, at Stephan Weiss Studio
  • Chicago: December 15, 2024, at Lazy Bird
  • Los Angeles: December 18, 2024, at Manuela

Each event includes light bites and complimentary drinks for an all-inclusive entertainment experience. Events are exclusively available to Bilt Rewards members who are at least 21 years old.

Tickets start at $75 or 5,000 Bilt points each, and there’s a maximum of 2 tickets per person. Seats will be available in the Bilt Rewards app at 11:50 a.m. ET on November 27, 2024, for Platinum members and noon ET for everyone else.

SoulCycle Rent Day Ride

Rent Day Rides are back on December 1 at 50+ SoulCycle studios across the country. They are 45-minute, full-body indoor cycling classes.

You can book your slot starting at 11 a.m. ET on November 27, 2024 — or 10 minutes earlier at 10:50 a.m. ET for Bilt Rewards Platinum members. Additionally, all members can receive a complimentary bike in the themed class when booking directly through the Bilt Rewards app.

Additionally, 1 Rent Day rider will have the lucky fortune of having their rent paid (up to $2,500).

Hot Tip:

If you book but can’t make your ride, be sure to cancel by November 30 at 5 p.m. local time. Otherwise, you may be charged a $30 cancellation fee.

Rent Free Game Show

Answer questions correctly for your chance to win free rent! This month’s Rent Free Game Show will feature comedian and impressionist Matt Friend.

You can log into your Bilt app (iOS, Android) to access the game as of November 26 at noon ET. The top 10 scoring players will be December’s winners and will only get free rent (up to $2,500), and the next 10 top scorers will earn bonus Bilt Rewards points.

The game will be available until 3 p.m. ET on December 1, and answers will be revealed an hour later at 4 p.m.

Rent Day for Bilt Cardholders

Although the Bilt Card has a $0 annual fee (rates & fees), it delivers a solid return on spend:

  • 3x points on dining
  • 2x points on travel
  • 1x points on other purchases (including rent)
  • Use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points (See Rewards & Benefits)

With December’s Rent Day, cardholders can earn double points on all purchases for 24 hours starting on December 1 at 12 a.m. ET — up to 1,000 bonus points. This brings earnings up to:

  • 6x points on dining
  • 4x points on travel
  • 2x points on other purchases (excluding rent)

Remember, you must use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points (See Rewards & Benefits)

This puts the Bilt Card at the top of the heap for earning on dining. Since we value Bilt Rewards points at 1.8 cents apiece, you’ll net a 10.8% return on all dining spend on December 1. And don’t forget about Bilt Dining, which can boost earnings up to 16x points per dollar!

In contrast, the American Express® Gold Card earns 4x Membership Rewards points at restaurants worldwide (up to $50,000 of annual spending, then 1x thereafter) plus takeout and delivery in the U.S. We value Amex Membership Rewards points at 2.2 cents apiece, which means you’d be getting 8.8% back when using the Amex Gold card.

Considering Bilt’s transfer partners, including World of Hyatt and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, this makes Rent Day a very valuable proposition for cardholders.

Final Thoughts

Bilt Rent Day continues to be a great day to earn and burn some valuable Bilt Rewards points — and this month offers some unique travel opportunities in your neighborhood, at Hilton hotels, and on the high seas!
