Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Do you have a co-branded Disney credit card? If so, check your email to see if you’ve been targeted for a new offer for double rewards on eligible Disney purchases. Let’s take a look at the promotion details and what to expect if you’re taking advantage.

Chase Disney Visa Promotion

This new promotion allows eligible cardholders to earn double rewards on certain Disney purchases. Those who have either the Disney® Premier Visa® card or the Disney® Visa® Card are eligible for the promotion:

  • Valid from October 1 to October 31, 2024
  • Valid on specific purchases: Disney Resort Hotels, tickets, and vacation packages
  • The amount you’ll earn as Disney Rewards Dollars will depend on your card: Disney Premier cardholders get 4% and Disney Visa cardholders get 2%
  • Valid for up to $1,000 in purchases

This promotion appears to be targeted, so check your email to see if you’ve received anything.

The Disney Premier card typically earns 2% back in Disney Rewards Dollars for eligible purchases, while the Disney Visa card earns 1% back. Disney Reward Dollars can be redeemed for all kinds of Disney purchases, whether that’s for souvenirs or churros.

Is It Worth It?

If you have plans for upcoming Disney purchases and already tend to put those on your co-branded Disney credit card, this promotion is a boon for you. This is especially true for those booking vacation packages since both offer:

  • Disney Premier: 0% promo APR for 6 months on select Disney vacation packages from the date of purchase, after that a variable APR of 19.24% - 28.24%
  • Disney Visa: 0% promo APR for 6 months on select Disney vacation packages from the date of purchase, after that a variable APR of 19.24% - 28.24%

Otherwise, there are better options out there for your Disney purchases. For example, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit CardInformation collected independently. Not reviewed by Capital One. allows you to earn 2x Capital One miles on every purchase with no promotion dates or purchase cap.

Since we value Capital One miles at 1.8 cents each, this means you’ll get a 3.6% return on all your Disney purchases — and those miles can be redeemed in much better ways, including travel.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® is another good option when booking a resort stay or buying vacation packages. These will code as travel purchases and earn 3x Ultimate Rewards on every dollar that you spend, and the card also has a $300 annual travel credit. We value Chase points at 2 cents each, so you’ll be getting a 6% return on your spending, which outstrips this promotion.

Bottom Line:

This offer is best for those who spend regularly on their Disney credit card and aren’t looking to diversify. However, looking broadly, other types of credit cards can provide better earnings at Disney parks.

Final Thoughts

Those who have an eligible co-branded Disney credit card can earn double the rewards on select Disney purchases. The promotion is only valid through the end of October, so if you’re wanting to take advantage, do so before it expires.

The information regarding the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.
