There’s been plenty of buzz about booking hotels through The Edit, a luxury hotel collection available to Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ cardholders.

Cardholders can qualify for statement credits, on-site benefits, and even hotel loyalty program perks. While much of the conversation highlights the upside, there are scenarios in which booking through the Chase Travel portal may not deliver maximum value.

Today, we’re looking specifically at whether booking all-inclusive hotels and resorts through The Edit is actually worth it.

Value is subjective and depends on your travel style, but our goal here is to walk through the process so you can decide whether it makes sense for your next trip. Here’s a brief overview of the benefits of The Edit and how to book eligible all-inclusive properties.

All-inclusive properties within The Edit collection qualify for this credit.

The Edit’s On-Site Benefits

In addition to statement credits, bookings include:

Amenities can vary by property, so it’s important to review the specific inclusions before booking.

Brand-Specific Hotel Credit

Starting in 2026, Chase added an annual statement credit of up to $250 for hotels from certain brands that are also in The Edit.

Eligible brands include IHG Hotels & Resorts, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Pendry Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Virgin Hotels, Minor Hotels, and Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts.

This brand-specific hotel credit is separate from The Edit’s standard annual statement credit. However, it also requires a minimum 2-night stay for the credit to kick in.

Hotel Loyalty Program Benefits

If the hotel you book through The Edit has a loyalty program, you can add your hotel loyalty program number to the Chase Travel reservation and receive additional benefits.

Bottom Line:

The Edit hotel bookings may be eligible for several benefits per booking, including up to $500 in annual Edit statement credits (up to $250 per stay), on-site benefits, the annual brand-specific hotel credit up to $250, and hotel loyalty program benefits. You may also trigger a yearly (up to) $300 travel statement credit with The Edit.

How To Find All-Inclusive Properties in The Edit

All-inclusive properties appear in general Chase Travel hotel searches, but you can also search for them specifically.

After logging in to your online card account and navigating to Chase Travel:

  1. Scroll down the homepage to The Edit banner and click “Learn More.”
  2. Click “See All Stays.”
  3. Use filters to select “All-Inclusive.”

There are currently 34 all-inclusive properties in The Edit, with 30 located in North America (including the Caribbean).

You can sort by geographic region and then narrow further by country.

For example, filtering to Mexico brings up several eligible resorts.

How To Book All-Inclusive Properties in The Edit

Once you’ve selected a property and entered your preferred dates, you can see the rate for your stay.

Let’s look at two examples.

Example 1: Casa Velas (Puerto Vallarta, Mexico)

For a 3-night stay in March, the all-in rate on Chase Travel is $2,293 for a refundable master suite with a garden view.

The Edit All Inclusive Casa Velas Chase

When comparing this rate to the hotel’s direct website, the same room type and cancellation policy were priced identically.

In this example, the hotel’s website had an identical rate to Chase Travel. Image Credit: Hotel Casa Velas

In this case, booking through Chase Travel offers incremental value thanks to:

  • The $250 Edit statement credit
  • On-site benefits
  • Potential loyalty program perks.

Always review the room type, size, on-site amenities, and cancellation policy when comparing rates to ensure the reservations match.

When the pricing is equal, booking through The Edit clearly comes out ahead.

Example 2: Zoetry Marigot Bay (St. Lucia)

For a 3-night stay at the Zoetry Marigot Bay, a Hyatt property, the Chase Travel rate was $2,214, slightly higher than the rate available directly through Hyatt.

Since you can book the property directly with Hyatt, World of Hyatt members with top elite status may consider doing that.

With Chase Travel, you’d receive The Edit’s $250 statement credit, the on-site benefits, and the associated Hyatt benefits when adding your World of Hyatt loyalty number.

Bottom Line:

Compare rates before booking with The Edit. If the direct rate is lower, and especially if you’re earning elite night credits, booking directly with the hotel may offer better value.

Paying for Your Stay

To qualify for The Edit’s statement credits, you must pay at least a portion of the stay with your Sapphire Reserve card or Sapphire Reserve for Business card.

All Edit bookings qualify for Points Boost, meaning your Ultimate Rewards points can be worth up to 2 cents per point. However, redemption rates vary — in the Casa Velas example, Ultimate Rewards points were worth 1.65 cents each.

The Edit All Inclusive Points and Cash

Use your card to pay for at least $250, as that is the amount of The Edit’s statement credit. You can pay for the booking entirely with your card or use a combination of points and your card. You do not receive the statement credit if you pay entirely with points.

The Edit Credit Applied
In many cases, The Edit’s statement credit shows up quickly. Image Credit: Chase

The Edit credit should appear as a statement credit shortly after the charge processes.

Hot Tip:

Don’t forget to add your associated hotel loyalty program number to the reservation to receive any additional applicable benefits.

Final Thoughts

So, is booking all-inclusive properties through The Edit worth it?

When rates match what’s available directly from the hotel, The Edit through Chase Travel can offer better value. The (up to) $250 statement credits per stay, combined with on-site benefits, add meaningful value. However, if Chase Travel pricing is higher, you’ll need to dig deeper and compare room types, amenities, and cancellation policies to determine whether it’s worth it. If so, you may be better off booking directly.

In many cases, The Edit may offer stronger value on non-all-inclusive options, where nightly rates are lower, and the statement credit stretches further. As with most things in the points-and-miles world, the math matters.
