It’s not every day that we see cheap business class flights between the U.S. and Brazil, so a deal for under $1,500 round-trip is one you’ll want to pay attention to!

Here’s what you need to know about this deal — and how to book!

Fare Deal — The Details

JFK GIG cash rate

This deal is offered by Avianca and will take you from New York (JFK) to São Paulo (GRU), Brazil’s largest city. Both legs have a layover in Bogotá (BOG). Note that some itineraries have day-long stopovers, which means you can explore the Colombian capital before heading to Brazil!

Play around with a few dates on Google Flights and book directly through Avianca or an online travel agency (OTA) like Expedia. You’ll find cheaper rates using lesser-known OTAs, but if you want more peace of mind, you should stick with a more reputable option.

  • Class: Business
  • Routes: New York (JFK) to São Paulo (GRU)
  • Dates: July 2024 to October 2024
  • Rates: As low as $1,438 round-trip
Bottom Line:

Most of these cheap fares are operated by Avianca’s narrow-body Airbus A320neo aircraft, which means you can expect recliner seats up front. While it’s not necessarily the best way to fly between the U.S. and South America, you can’t beat the price. Avianca does fly Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with lie-flat seats in business class, so you’ll want to find itineraries with that aircraft if you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck.

Best Ways To Book

The best availability can be found in July and August 2024, though other dates are also available.

Make sure you pay with a card that rewards you for travel purchases. Here are a few of our favorites — all of which offer big welcome bonuses and elevated earnings on flight purchases:

Final Thoughts

This is a pretty solid deal, especially considering how expensive business class flights to Brazil can be. While Avianca doesn’t offer the best product or service in the sky, you’ll still get to fly up front at a really excellent cash rate!
