Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Air Premia, a Korean low-cost carrier, is offering round-trip fares in premium economy between San Francisco (SFO) and Seoul (ICN) from just $1,563.

These fares are about as inexpensive as you’ll find for a premium economy ticket on this trans-Pacific route, which the airline officially launched just last week.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Fare Deal — Details

Air Premia might be a low-cost airline, but its premium economy experience is comparable to that of a full-service carrier.

For example, you don’t get charged for every little thing like you often do with other low-cost airlines. Air Premia premium economy passengers can choose seats for free — and even inflight amenities like dental kits and eye masks are included in the cost of the ticket.

The airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners operate this new route. These aircraft feature a 2-3-2 configuration in premium economy.

  • Class: Premium Economy
  • Routes: San Francisco (SFO) to Seoul (ICN)
  • Dates: October through December 2024
  • Rates: As low as $1,563 round-trip

How To Book

When possible, it’s almost always best to book flight tickets directly with an airline rather than through something like an online travel agency (OTA). In this case, you can book directly with Air Premia — just follow the link from Google Flights.

Something to be aware of: you may see the price jump within the Google Flights interface as you click through to book. Don’t worry, though — once you’re on the Air Premia website, it drops back down to $1,563.

We suggest using a travel rewards credit card such as The Platinum Card® from American Express to book your flight. Paying directly with an airline or through AmexTravel.com for your Air Premia flights with this card would earn you 5x Membership Rewards points (up to $500,000 in purchases per calendar year, then 1x).

Hot Tip:

The Amex Platinum card also comes with Priority Pass membership. Once you’ve enrolled, you’ll get lounge access even when flying low-cost airlines like Air Premia.

Final Thoughts

This is an example of a great fare for a premium economy flight to Asia. With these fares from Air Premia, you can save $1,000 or more by flying a low-cost airline instead of a full-service carrier, all while enjoying a top-notch experience.

If you’re interested in this fare, it’s a good idea to book sooner rather than later to avoid any potential price increases!
