A new Delta Sky Club lounge has arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), and it’s a stunner.

Here’s what you need to know about the lounge, plus how to get into it!

Delta Opens Sky Club Lounge at Major American Hub

Delta Air Lines has opened its first-ever Sky Club lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). The more than 14,000-square-foot lounge is located in Concourse A, mezzanine level, near gate A32, and seats 246 guests. The lounge is open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Delta went with a neoclassical aesthetic for the lounge, with floral designs seen throughout.

Amenities include a food buffet, 2 beverage stations, 6 soundproof booths, a bar with views of the concourse below, and a cyber bar with runway views. Interestingly, the lounge doesn’t feature shower facilities, as some Sky Clubs like Atlanta (ATL) and Boston (BOS) do.

“It’s always exciting to plant roots in a new market and introduce Delta Sky Club to a new group of customers,” said Claude Roussel, Delta Sky Club and lounge experience vice president. “We can’t wait for our Charlotte guests to experience the amenities and hospitality that have made our Clubs so popular across the country.”

If this opening raised eyebrows, you aren’t alone: Charlotte is a major hub for rival American Airlines. While more than a dozen airlines, including Delta, serve Charlotte, American accounts for approximately 90% of all flights from CLT. However, Delta is seeking to grow its presence at CLT and already flies daily to a handful of its hubs, such as Atlanta and the New York area.

Still, Delta will join a crowded lounge network at CLT, which includes 2 Admirals Club lounges, The Club CLT (also in Concourse A), and the American Express Centurion Lounge.

How To Get Into the Delta Sky Club at CLT

Now that you know everything you need to know about the new Sky Club, you’re probably wondering how to actually get inside. We’re here to help.

There are several ways to get access to the Sky Club lounge networks. They include having an eligible American Express credit card, flying in Delta One business class or in a SkyTeam business class cabin, or having eligible elite status.

Hot Tip:

Like many lounge networks, Delta Sky Clubs have experienced overcrowding in recent years. To combat the issue, the airline is capping access to many cardholders starting February 1, 2025.

Final Thoughts

While Delta hasn’t historically had a large presence at CLT, that is beginning to change. The airline has just opened a gorgeous Sky Club lounge with a pretty large footprint in Concourse A. If you’re passing through CLT, make sure to check out the new Sky Club before your flight!
