After more than a year since the iconic Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World closed for a re-theme, we now know that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, it’s replacement, will open in Summer 2024!

Fans will still get the thrill of the 5-story log flume drop ride but with new Audio-Animatronics figures, music, and more from the iconic “The Princess and the Frog” movie.

Let’s take a look at what we know so far…

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Disney just announced that the much anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Aventure will open in the summer of 2024 at Walt Disney World in Florida— months earlier than originally expected. The ride will open at Disneyland in California later this year.

The re-theming of Splash Mountain is almost complete, with Tiana and friends from “The Princess and the Frog” celebrating how she made her dreams come true during Mardi Gras season.

There will be dozens of next-level Audio-Animatronics and, of course, plenty of classic jazz and zydeco music from The Big Easy. Oh, and the smell of Tiana’s beignets wafting through the ride as well!

And thrill-seekers, fear not. The iconic 50-foot drop with views of Magic Kingdom that ends in a pool of cool water will be waiting for you this summer.
