Bilt Rewards launched its elite status program in 2023 to little fanfare. At the time, benefits were minimal, and it felt more like a marketing checkbox than a meaningful addition to the program.

Since then, however, things have changed. Lucrative Rent Day transfer bonuses — which are tied to your Bilt status — along with a steady expansion of perks, have made Bilt elite status far more interesting.

I started actively pursuing Bilt Elite status last year and qualified for Gold status last fall. Now, with most of my everyday purchases going on the Bilt Palladium Card (rates & fees), I expect to earn top-tier Bilt Platinum status by mid-2026.

Here’s why I’m aiming for Bilt Platinum status in 2026 — and how I’m getting there.

What Is Bilt Elite Status?

All Bilt members can qualify for Bilt elite status, whether or not you own a Bilt credit card. There are 4 elite status tiers — Blue, Silver, Gold, and Platinum — with meaningful perks for earning and redeeming points beginning at the Silver tier.

Members can qualify for Bilt elite status in 2 main ways:

  1. Earning Bilt Points in a calendar year from rent, mortgage, and other qualifying spending.
  2. Fast-track spending, which includes non-housing purchases on Bilt credit cards, purchases in the Bilt Travel portal, with Bilt Dining, qualifying Lyft rides, and other eligible merchants.

The latter (fast-track spending) is how I earned Bilt elite status last year and will continue to earn it this year. Going the fast-track route has lower requirements than earning status through all your Bilt earnings.

These are the main benefits to expect at each level of Bilt elite status and their qualification requirements:

Bilt Silver Elite Status

Silver is Bilt’s entry-level elite status tier. You can qualify by earning 50,000 Bilt Points (offer terms) in a single calendar year or spending $10,000 on your Bilt card or in eligible fast-track spending. Benefits at this level include:

  • Higher Rent Day transfer bonuses
  • Interest earned on your Bilt Points balance, calculated on the FDIC national savings rate
  • 10% discount on BLADE helicopter flights
  • Status match to Virgin Voyages Blue elite status
  • Free delivery on Bilt Home Delivery orders

The 2 key benefits here are higher Rent Day transfer bonuses and the ability to earn interest on your Bilt Points balance. Rent Day is the Bilt’s monthly promotion that offers members double points on credit card purchases (up to 1,000 points) and perks from its partners.

Sometimes these partner benefits include transfer bonuses that vary by status tier. For example, during the March 2026 Rent Day, Bilt offered a transfer bonus to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank ranging from 25% to 100%, depending on elite status.

Bilt Gold Elite Status

Gold elite status requires earning 125,000 Bilt Points or spend $25,000 on your Bilt card or through Bilt’s partner network. This is where Bilt elite status benefits start to get more interesting. Gold members receive:

  • All Silver benefits
  • Higher Rent Day bonuses
  • Complimentary access to BLADE lounges, even when not flying
  • Access to Home Away From Home hotel bookings
  • Bilt Travel Concierge
  • Gold-level priority access to Rent Day experiences

One of the most valuable perks here is the Home Away From Home bookings. These bookings are available at select hotels through the Bilt Travel portal and often include perks such as on-site dining credits, room upgrades, and late checkout. Plus, Home Away From Home stays usually still earn hotel points and elite credit.

Bilt Platinum Elite Status

Top-tier Platinum Bilt elite status requires earning 200,000 Bilt Points or spending $50,000 through eligible activity in a calendar year. Platinum members receive:

  • All Silver and Gold benefits
  • The highest Rent Day transfer bonuses
  • 1 complimentary BLADE helicopter flight between Manhattan and New York (JFK) or Newark (EWR)
  • An elite status match to Air France-KLM Flying Blue Gold elite status
  • Platinum-level access to Rent Day experiences
  • Dedicated support

Beyond access to the best Rent Day perks, the most interesting benefits here are a free BLADE flight and the Flying Blue status match.

Flying Blue Gold elite status includes perks such as extra baggage and international lounge access. Because it comes with SkyTeam Elite Plus status, many perks extend to flights on other SkyTeam airlines as well.

Why I’m Going for Bilt Platinum Status in 2026

Earning Bilt Platinum status is no small feat. It requires $50,000 in eligible spending or 200,000 Bilt Points in a year. But given I’m now earning Bilt Points faster than ever (more on that shortly), I think it’s worth actively earning Bilt Platinum status for one major reason.

Key Benefit: Higher Rent Day Transfer Bonuses

The biggest draw of Bilt Platinum is access to the highest Rent Day transfer bonuses. Over the past 2 years, Bilt has offered major transfer bonuses to programs like:

The higher status you have, the higher bonuses you receive.

In the March 2026 Japan Airlines transfer promotion, bonuses were structured as follows:

  • No status: 25% transfer bonus
  • Silver: 50% transfer bonus
  • Gold: 75% transfer bonus
  • Platinum: 100% transfer bonus

To sweeten the deal, members can upgrade to the next-highest tier of transfer bonus by redeeming $135 in Bilt Cash, with up to $100 rolling over to the next year.

That means Gold members could go from a 75% bonus to 100% bonus, while Platinum elites could upgrade to a 125% bonus — effectively cutting redemption costs nearly in half.

These transfer bonuses alone make Platinum elite status worth it for me, and I might speculatively transfer points during these promotions to other loyalty programs.

Free BLADE Helicopter Ride to New York City Airports

I live in New York City and have taken BLADE helicopter rides to the airport during BOGO promotions or other discounts. They’re an incredible experience, but with flights starting at $195, it’s tough to justify when taking the subway or JFK AirTrain costs less than $15.

That said, Platinum members receive a free BLADE ride each year they qualify for status, as well as discounts and access to BLADE lounges when not flying. Since I rent office space at a WeWork near the BLADE East heliport, I’m especially excited to try this perk.

Hot Tip:

Bilt members will also soon be able to redeem $350 of Bilt Cash for BLADE rides, up to twice per year.

How I’m Working Toward Bilt Platinum Status

Earlier this year, my wife and I moved all of our shared spending — aside from some travel expenses — to the Palladium Card. This was partly to simplify our expenses and partly because I value Bilt Points so highly. While Upgraded Points currently values them at 1.8 cents apiece, I’ve never redeemed a Bilt point for less than 3 cents per point.

  • Priority Pass ($469/year value). See Guide to Benefits.

  • Bilt Point redemptions include airlines, hotels, future rent and mortgage payments, Lyft rides, statement credits, student loan balances, a down payment on a home, and more.

Financial Snapshot
  • Foreign Transaction Fees:

Another benefit of shifting daily expenses to the Palladium card is that all eligible non-housing purchase brings us closer to the $50,000 fast-track spending threshold for Platinum status. We also regularly interact with Bilt partners:

  • Many restaurants in our neighborhood participate in Bilt Dining
  • We live down the street from a Walgreens
  • I use Lyft several times per month

Spending with each of these partners inches us even closer to Platinum status. In reality, I’m not doing anything special to earn Platinum status. I’m simply using the program as intended, racking up Bilt Points and earning status relatively quickly.

Since Bilt elite benefits are still relatively limited, I don’t think it’s worth going out of your way to earn them. However, if you’re using a Bilt card for most of your expenses, Platinum status is a nice reward for your loyalty.

Final Thoughts

Bilt elite status has become more interesting over the years, largely thanks to generous Rent Day transfer bonuses to valuable loyalty programs. With the launch of the Palladium Card, I’ve moved most of my everyday spending to the Bilt ecosystem. This has helped me make rapid progress toward top-tier Platinum status, and I’m looking forward to enjoying its benefits later this year.

Whether earning Bilt Platinum status makes sense for you depends on how often you engage with Bilt and how much you value Bilt Points. If you can earn it naturally by everyday spending, it’s certainly worth aiming for. But if it requires dramatically shifting your spending away from other reward programs, it may not be worth the effort.
