Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is back with some exciting news: It will launch 2 new routes to Puerto Rico from the mainland U.S.

Here’s what you need to know — and how to book Frontier’s newest routes to Puerto Rico starting at $89.

Frontier Expands Service to Puerto Rico

Frontier Airlines announced on May 22 that it would start 2 new routes: San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla (BQN) to Miami International Airport (MIA).

Flights to San Juan, which will operate 3x weekly, started today, while once-weekly flights to Aguadilla take off on May 24.

Frontier will be the only airline to fly nonstop between Aguadilla and Miami (though JetBlue flies to nearby Fort Lauderdale-FLL). Frontier will join United Airlines with nonstop flights between Washington-Dulles and San Juan. All told, Frontier now serves 2 dozen destinations from Puerto Rico.

“These new routes to Miami and Washington Dulles from Puerto Rico will mean more ultra-low cost travel options for tourists looking to visit the island, as well as for residents traveling to the mainland U.S.,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines.

Booking Frontier’s New Routes To Puerto Rico

Flights to Aguadilla and San Juan are now available at flyfrontier.com. Like other new routes, Frontier is offering promotional fares starting at just $89 one-way.

Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. ET on June 7, 2025, for select dates between May 30 and August 18, 2025. A 7-day advance purchase is required; however, a round-trip purchase is not required.

If you have some miles from the Frontier Miles loyalty program, this is a great time to use them. Flights start at just 2,500 miles one way.
