Hilton Releases List of Premium Lounges For New Diamond Reserve Tier

Last year, Hilton announced a new status tier above the current highest level, the ultra-exclusive  Diamond Reserve. It is earned through a combination of nights stayed and spending: 80 nights and $18,000 in qualifying spend

One of the benefits of the tier is complimentary access to executive lounges (in addition to premium clubs) found at select luxury, lifestyle, and full-service hotels. Hilton had remained mum on which hotels would offer premium lounges, but recently put out a list of eligible hotels:

Diamond Reserve members receive complimentary access to Premium Clubs for themselves and 1 guest.

Bottom Line:

Other benefits of Diamond Reserve are guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout on eligible stays, a 24/7 concierge-style desk for priority customer support, the highest complimentary upgrade priority — with room upgrades granted as early as 3 days before check-in — and 120% bonus points on every stay.

Final Thoughts

While we didn’t see many openings, it was still a busy week with hotels changing flags or joining major programs. The first half of the year is already looking to be exciting. A handful of Canadian hotels will join Choice’s Ascend Collection, while JW Marriott Mount Kenya Rhino Reserve Safari Camp is gearing up to open in June.

We’ll be back here next week with more news from across the hotel industry.
