World of Hyatt has historically had fewer all-inclusive options than rivals Marriott and Hilton. That has changed in recent years due to the acquisitions of AMR Collection and others.

Now, the chain is expanding its all-inclusive segment through a partnership with Grupo Piñero, adding 23 resorts to the Hyatt umbrella. Here’s what you need to know.

Hyatt’s New Partnership With Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts

World of Hyatt entered into an agreement with Spain’s Grupo Piñero to manage the Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts brand.

A grand total of 23 resorts in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and Spain will join Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection portfolio. These include resorts like the 5-star Cayo Levantado, located on a private island in the Dominican Republic.

Hyatt says the move will grow the brand’s all-inclusive room portfolio by approximately 30%. The partnership will close “in the coming months,” Hyatt says. However, no exact date or information about when the hotels will be bookable with points was given.

“The addition of Bahia Principe’s resorts to Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection will enhance Hyatt’s all-inclusive offering and strengthen our leadership position with one of the largest collections of all-inclusive resorts in the world,” said Hyatt President Mark Hoplamazian.

Hyatt’s Other All-Inclusive Brands

Hyatt has grown its all-inclusive segment exponentially in recent years, primarily due to its acquisition of Apple Leisure Group back in 2021.

That move saw a handful of new brands come under the World of Hyatt umbrella in Europe, the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico, as well as 100+ new resorts. Hyatt also has 3 other all-inclusive brands: Hyatt Vivid Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt Zilara, and Hyatt Ziva.

Luckily, you can earn and redeem World of Hyatt points at all its all-inclusive options. If you’re running low on points, you can earn them through welcome bonuses and everyday spending on a Hyatt co-branded card. Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards are also 1:1 transfer partners of Hyatt.

Hyatt uses a separate award chart for all-inclusive hotels, with Categories A through F. On the low end, award nights for a Category A resort start at just 12,000 points (off-peak). The most expensive, Category F, costs between 42,000 and 58,000 points per night for double occupancy.

Hot Tip:

Final Thoughts

Hyatt is quickly becoming a top choice for all-inclusive vacations as it continues expanding its offerings worldwide. This partnership with Grupo Piñero to manage Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts is excellent news for travelers, who will soon have nearly 2 dozen new resorts to book with points. We’ll watch this partnership and update you when we know more!
