IHG has exciting news coming to Spain. The brand will add 4 hotels to the country, meaning there will soon be nearly 13,000 IHG hotel rooms in Spain. Some hotels are expected to open their doors as early as next year.

There’s a lot to cover, so let’s dive right in!

New IHG Hotels Coming to Spain

IHG is openinig 4 new hotels across 3 brands in Spain:

  • Vignette Collection Mallorca (Opening 2025): The 45-room hotel will mark the debut of the Vignette Collection in Spain.
  • Vignette Collection Jerez (Opening 2025): The 34-room boutique hotel will be in the picturesque city center of Jerez, a short walk from the main square of the old town.
  • Hotel Indigo Gandia Beach (Opening 2025): The 40-room beachfront property will offer guests unforgettable views of the Mediterranean Sea in the popular coastal city of Gandia.
  • Holiday Inn Express San Sebastian – Errenteria (Opening 2026): This 82-room hotel will be just outside San Sebastian, in the Errenteria neighborhood.

“As one of IHG’s priority markets, it’s wonderful to grow our footprint so substantially in Spain, where we’ve signed nearly 700 rooms in the first nine months of this year,” said Willemijn Geels, vice president of development for Europe for IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Booking IHG Hotels in Spain

IHG has 55 hotels up and running in the country, spread across 8 brands such as Six Senses, InterContinental, Kimpton, Hotel Indigo, voco, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, and Holiday Inn. The company has launched over 10 hotels in Spain in just the last 5 years, including Kimpton Vividora, InterContinental Barcelona, Six Senses Ibiza, and voco Madrid – Retiro.

You can earn and redeem IHG One Rewards points at participating properties. For instance, a single-night stay at the InterContinental Barcelona will cost around 46,000 points per night this fall.

Earning IHG points is pretty simple. The hotel chain has 3 co-branded credit cards that come with big welcome bonuses.

Hot Tip:

You can also earn points by transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points, booking restaurants through the IHG One Rewards Dining programhosting a meeting or event, or purchasing points.

Final Thoughts

Travelers will embrace the news that IHG is opening 4 new hotels in Spain over the next few years. They’ll have even more of a mix of property types to choose from, from budget to high-end boutique brands. While we await more details about the new properties, check out other IHG hotels in Spain!
