If you hold The JetBlue Plus Card or The JetBlue Business Card, several new perks were released on March 1, 2023.

With The JetBlue Plus card, you’ll be able to redeem some of your points to wipe certain charges off of your statement, while The JetBlue Business card offers priority boarding.

Here are the details of these new benefits offered by JetBlue’s credit cards.

Points Payback and Priority Boarding

The JetBlue Plus card comes with a $95 annual fee and will offer a new program called “Points Payback.”

This new benefit began March 1, 2023, and cardholders can use some of the JetBlue points they earn to receive a statement credit for eligible charges.

Here are some of the logistics:

  • The purchase needs to be greater than $25, and redemptions start at 3,333 points per $25 statement credit
  • The charge must be made within the past 90 days, but it appears that any category of charge will qualify
  • You’ll only be able to get a maximum of $1,000 in statement credits annually

The redemption rate for the Points Payback program translates into roughly 0.75 cents per point. Compare that to our estimated value TrueBlue points of 1.3 cents a pop for award flights, and this new Points Payback redemption option falls short for most cardholders.

Also as of March 1, The JetBlue Business card holders enjoy Group A boarding, which is currently the boarding group for Even More Space seat flyers but after pre-boarding, Mosaic and Mint customers. This is a unique benefit that’s not currently offered by the consumer versions of JetBlue’s cards.

Priority boarding gives you the best chances at finding space in the overhead bin, so this is a great new perk with no changes to the existing benefits on this business card.

Bottom Line: You’ll likely want to skip out on using the Points Payback program on The JetBlue Plus card, although the Group A boarding on The JetBlue Business card is a solid addition.

Final Thoughts

It’s always great to get new credit card perks when there isn’t an increase to the annual fee. Cardholders of The JetBlue Plus card and The JetBlue Business card can start taking advantage of these benefits now!
