Some massive news from JetBlue this morning: the airline has announced that it will open its first-ever lounge network in Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK).

There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get straight to it!

First JetBlue Lounge Opens in 2025

JetBlue will open 2 lounges on the East Coast: one in Boston (BOS) and one in New York (JFK).

The Boston lounge will span 11,000 square feet, while the lounge at New York-JFK will be 8,000 total square feet.

Amenities will include a full-service bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, private workspaces, and food and beverage options.

The lounge at JFK will open inside Terminal 5 (home to the airline’s operations) in late 2025. The Boston lounge will open in Terminal C “soon after,” though JetBlue didn’t list an exact timing for that location.

JFK’s Terminal 5 is home to 2 lounges, Aer Lingus Lounge and USO Lounge, and Be Relax Spa, which can be accessed with Priority Pass. JetBlue also operates a post-security outdoor space, the T5 Rooftop & Wooftop Lounge.

Terminal C at BOS has 2 lounges: The Lounge and USO Lounge.

With this move, JetBlue is firmly shedding its origins as a low-cost carrier, mirroring competitors like Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines with a lounge network.

In a statement, the airline noted that JetBlue customers have been asking for a lounge “for years.”

“Lounges have become an essential offering for the growing numbers of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue’s lounges will further boost the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program as we expand our portfolio of JetBlue credit cards,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue.

How To Get Into the JetBlue Lounge

Now that you’re familiar with the new JetBlue lounges, you’re probably wondering: How do I actually get in?

Here’s what you need to get into the JetBlue lounges:

  • A new premium JetBlue credit card (JetBlue says it will announce more details soon)
  • TrueBlue Mosaic 4 membership
  • Transatlantic Mint ticket
Bottom Line:

JetBlue says Mosaic 4 members and 1 guest will receive complimentary access to the lounges as a new addition to “Signature Perks” benefits. Other benefits for Mosaic members include Mint upgrade certificates and 4 one-way free seats on Blade helicopter transfers between Manhattan and EWR or JFK.

Final Thoughts

This is excellent news from JetBlue, which will debut 2 lounges — a first for the airline — in Boston and New York. Both cities are hubs for the airline, and the lounges will be a welcome addition for business and leisure travelers alike, who can work or relax ahead of their flight.

As we get closer to late 2025, we’ll be back with more details about the new lounges!
