Delta Air Lines will open a new Sky Club lounge at the Kansas City International Airport (MCI) on February 28, 2023. Before the opening, the Kansas City airport did not have a lounge, which makes this an exciting development for Kansas City Delta flyers.
Here are the details of the new Delta Sky Club at MCI.
New Delta Sky Club at Kansas City International Airport
The Delta Sky Club is located in MCI’s brand new terminal in the B concourse, which also opens on February 28, 2023. The loungemeasures in at 11,200 square feet and features a bar with premium cocktails, seating and charging spaces, and varied dining options. This Sky Club location will be open daily from 4:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Lounge guests will also be able to enjoy 2 open-air Sky Decks, allowing customers to head out into the fresh air and see all of the nearby planes.
Each of the above cards will grant you access to any Delta Sky Club as long as you have a boarding pass for a same-day, Delta-operated flight. This access is just limited to the primary cardholder, though, so you will not be able to bring any guests into the Delta Sky Club with you unless they have an eligible card of their own, are an authorized user on your card, or you’re willing to pay a $50 fee per guest (up to 2 guests total).
*Effective 2/1/25, Reserve Card Members will receive 15 Visits per year to the Delta Sky Club; to earn an unlimited number of Visits each year starting on 2/1/25, the total eligible purchases on the Card must equal $75,000 or more between 1/1/24 and 12/31/24, and each calendar year thereafter.
While Delta is far from the largest airline operating out of MCI, and in fact only operates 9 nonstop routes from the airport, this is definitely a welcome change for MCI flyers as it’s the first lounge that the airport has had in many years. Ideally, if this new Delta Sky Club is successful, it will bring more airport lounges to MCI.
