Kimpton’s annual 40% off sale is back. For 3 days only, from October 11, 2022, to October 13, 2022, IHG One Rewards members can book select Kimpton hotels at 40% off the best flexible rate for stays from October 15, 2022, through April 30, 2023.

Save 40% on Select Kimpton Hotels

If you have plans to stay at a Kimpton Hotel in the near future, now is the time to book your room. Select Kimpton locations are 40% off when you book now through October 13, 2022, for travel between October 15, 2022, and April 30, 2023.

Of course, there is some fine print. There’s a limited number of discounted rooms available each night and there may be blackout dates. Additionally, each hotel can impose a minimum length of stay required to receive the discount. You also must be an IHG One Rewards member to take advantage of the sale.

While a 40% off sale is great, there’s a big catch with this one — availability is incredibly limited. We searched thoroughly and couldn’t find a single reservation that was eligible for the discount, even when looking at less-than-desirable destinations and times (think Nebraska in February).

Another thing to remember when looking at this sale is that the 40% discount (if you can find an eligible stay) is off of the best flexible rate which isn’t always the cheapest. Often, advance booking rates, stay longer and save rates, and member-exclusive rates are cheaper, so in the end, you wouldn’t actually be saving a full 40%.

Final Thoughts

While we love a good sale, this one appears to be less robust than it seemed at first glance. Saving 40% off of a high-end brand like Kimpton is a great deal, but unfortunately, finding availability is proving to be difficult.
