Marshalls, the well-known retailer, thinks everyone should have access to quality products and quality experiences. With that in mind, it’s launching a pop-up lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

This limited-time offering is open to all — no elite status, first class ticket, credit card, or lounge membership required.

This JFK lounge will operate for 1 week only and will provide the same fashion, beauty, and travel products customers are used to seeing in Marshall’s stores. Additionally, Marshalls will pair this unique lounge offering with a new online store called The Upgrade Shop.

Let’s take a closer look at this surprising announcement from Marshalls.

Marshalls To Operate ‘The Upgrade Lounge’ at JFK

Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, Marshalls has announced The Upgrade Lounge. It will operate from May 21 to 28, 2025, at New York City’s JFK Airport. Found in Terminal 4, the lounge will operate from 8 a.m. to noon and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily during its 1-week stint.

However, the seating area inside the lounge will remain open 24 hours a day, even outside the lounge hours when amenities are available.

Inside the lounge, travelers will find fashion displays, comfortable seating, a beauty bar with name-brand products, snacks, giveaways, and exclusive amenity kits (while supplies last).

JFK’s Terminal 4 is served by numerous airlines, including Aeromexico, Avianca, Delta, Etihad, JetBlue, Virgin Atlantic, and more.

Marshalls cites a survey it conducted about air travel as the reason for the pop-up lounge. According to this survey, 2 out of 3 travelers without lounge access say they’d use a lounge or upgrade their flight experience if cost weren’t a barrier.

“Marshalls is all about giving everyone access to the good stuff – high-quality, stylish finds at amazing value,” said Sonya Cosentini, vice president of brand marketing at Marshalls. “That’s what we deliver in our stores and online every day – and this Memorial Day weekend, we’re bringing that same philosophy to travel with The Upgrade Lounge. By offering an elevated experience for travelers where they can relax and engage with Marshalls and the premium products we offer.”

Hot Tip:

You don’t need to buy a lounge membership, have elite status, or fly in first class to visit airport lounges. Several credit cards can provide lounge access any time you fly, regardless of the airline, and could be worth adding to your wallet.

Marshalls Launches The Upgrade Shop

Paired with The Upgrade Lounge, The Upgrade Shop is offering a curated, seasonal collection of fashion and accessories. Available online, The Upgrade Shop was curated by TV personality Amanda Batula.
