Wells Fargo has just announced an exciting lineup of credit cards with Expedia Group and its One Key Rewards program. With the new One Key™ Card and One Key+™ Card, members can supercharge their rewards even further on 3 core travel brands: Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo.

With up to 9% OneKeyCash on eligible travel purchases and a fast track to elite status, these co-branded credit cards offer a generous package of rewards and benefits.

Applications are now live through Wells Fargo as of July 17, 2024. Here’s a closer look at the One Key Rewards loyalty program and the perks offered by these new cards.

Overview of the One Key Rewards Program

One Key Rewards is the unified program for Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo.

At these brands, members can earn 2% OneKeyCash for every dollar spent on eligible hotels, vacation rentals, activities, packages, car rentals, and cruises. However, members will only earn 0.2% in OneKeyCash on flights.

Members also can reach higher elite status tiers to access more benefits and perks. Platinum is the highest tier, and these travelers can earn 3x OneKeyCash on stays at VIP Access properties on Expedia and Hotels.com. (That math works out to 6% OneKeyCash on these select hotels!)

Hot Tip:

Although the 0.2% OneKeyCash earning rate on flights is low, you’ll still earn frequent flier and elite status qualifying miles when booking through Expedia.

One Key Card Details and Benefits

One Key Rewards members can earn even more cash-back on travel — as well as everyday purchases — with these new Wells Fargo credit cards. For starters, the One Key™ Card is the base-level card with no annual fee. It earns the following rewards:

  • 3% in OneKeyCash on Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo, as well as gas stations, grocery stores, and dining
  • 1.5% in OneKeyCash on all other eligible purchases

The card also comes with a generous welcome bonus offer: Earn $400 in OneKeyCash after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months. The OneKeyCash can be redeemed for vacation homes, rental cars, and much more.

Cardholders will automatically get Silver elite status, which offers 50% more OneKeyCash on stays at VIP Access properties on Expedia and Hotels.com, a 15% discount on participating hotels, and access to Priority customer support. By spending $15,000 or more per calendar year, cardholders can unlock Gold status for greater hotel discounts and rewards on VIP properties.

Finally, there are other valuable travel benefits not commonly found on no-annual-fee credit cards. The One Key card offers no foreign transaction fees, cell phone protection, trip cancellation and interruption, travel accident insurance, and even primary auto rental collision damage waiver.

Hot Tip:

The Hotels.com® Rewards Visa® Credit Card will be discontinued in September, and cardholders will be automatically converted to the One Key card.

One Key+ Card Details

The One Key+ card is a step above the other card, levying a $99 annual fee. However, it may be worth the higher cost for a better welcome bonus offer: Earn $600 in OneKeyCash after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months.

Cardholders can rack up One Key rewards effortlessly with 3% in OneKeyCash on Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, gas stations, grocery stores, and dining, and 2% in OneKeyCash on all other eligible purchases.

In addition, the One Key+ card offers the following benefits:

  • Get $100 in OneKeyCash after every cardholder anniversary
  • Receive up to $100 in Global Entry or TSA PreCheck statement credit
  • Automatic Gold elite status (2x on stays at VIP Access Properties on Expedia and Hotels.com, save 20% at participating hotels, space-available room upgrades at VIP hotels, and more)
  • Fast-track to Platinum elite status when you spend $30,000 per calendar year
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Cell phone protection, trip cancellation and interruption, primary auto rental collision damage waiver, and travel accident insurance

Final Thoughts

These new credit cards will complement the One Key Rewards program, which launched over a year ago. Both the One Key card and the One Key+ card offer a strong value proposition for loyalty members by helping you, with the primary ability to rack up rewards faster for your next vacation.
