WestJet has announced a slew of new and returning routes for the summer.
Focusing on its hubs in Calgary and Edmonton, the airline will be increasing connectivity regionally, domestically, and across the U.S./Canada border.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our network and giving our guests substantial opportunity to explore the U.S., and Canada from coast-to-coast this summer,” said Alexis von Hoensbroech, CEO at WestJet Group.
Here are the details about WestJet’s huge network expansion.
WestJet’s Big Plans for Summer 2023
Included in the announcement are no less than 25 routes comprising 15 service resumptions, a mixture of 10 new transborder and domestic routes, and 3 brand-new destinations for the Calgary-based carrier.
Transborder Services
The most notable routes are WestJet’s upcoming services to Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis (MSP), and Washington-Dulles (IAD), which will be completely new destinations for the airline.
