A brand-new luxury Radisson Hotel has just opened in Casablanca, Morocco, and it offers great value to guests visiting the city!

Here’s what you need to know about the new hotel!

Morocco’s First High-End Radisson Hotel

Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle has 133 rooms, including 9 suites, some with city views. Its amenities include 3 dining options, a rooftop bar, a ballroom, 5 meeting rooms, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool.

The hotel’s location in the Gauthier neighborhood puts guests close to attractions such as the Hassan II Mosque, the Medina, La Corniche, and Parc de la Ligue Arabe.

“The hotel boasts an idyllic location in the cosmopolitan Gauthier district which perfectly complements our growing portfolio in Casablanca,” Radisson Hotel Group’s Tim Cordon. “Our expansion in Morocco over recent years has been remarkable, including this latest addition marking our ninth hotel opening in the country.”

Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle is now open for guests. Rates are incredibly cheap, starting at just $157 per night in the fall and winter and some nights during the summer cost less than $100 per night. Unfortunately, we’re unable to price out how many Radisson Rewards points are required for an award stay.

While Radisson Hotel Casablanca Gauthier La Citadelle marks the brand’s first foray into the luxury market in Morocco, the brand has an impressive presence in North Africa. Radisson has 9 hotels in Morocco, mainly Radisson Blu properties on resorts along the Atlantic Ocean.

About Radisson Hotels

Founded in 1962, Radisson is 1 of the world’s most recognizable brands. You’ve probably stayed in a Radisson hotel and may not have known it. The brand’s portfolio includes Country Inn & Suites, Park Plaza, Prizeotel, and more.

While it’s not as large as, say, Hilton or Marriott, Radisson’s footprint is massive. Its loyalty program, Radisson Rewards, covers Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, with over 700 hotels. (Radisson Rewards America, the U.S. version of the program, is now part of Choice Privileges.)

Radisson offers 3 tiers of elite status: Club, Premium, and VIP. As you progress, you’ll earn more perks like early check-in, late checkout, and complimentary breakfast.

Redeeming points is pretty simple, as Radisson redemptions start at just 15,000 points per night. Unfortunately, Radisson’s co-branded credit cards were discontinued in 2022, so you’ll have to find other ways to earn Radisson Rewards points.

Final Thoughts

Radisson is expanding its presence in Morocco with a flagship property in the heart of Casablanca. This is excellent news for travelers who will have more options for earning and redeeming Radisson points in Morocco!
