The famous Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve® offer some of the best travel rewards for your money.

After months of holding the card, let’s say you’ve earned 75,000 Ultimate Rewards points in your account. These points can take you for miles of travel, pun intended.

Here are 3 trip ideas you can potentially book with these points for booking travel with Chase’s transfer partners this upcoming Labor Day weekend.

4 Nights at the Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami

You’ll only need 68,000 World of Hyatt points to secure a 4-night stay at the Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami over Labor Day weekend. For this stay — including the base rate, taxes, and fees — it would come out to $1,307.81 for a 1 king guest room.

This redemption would net you 1.9 cents per point value for the entire stay, which is on par with our 2 cents per point valuation. To get this value, you will need to transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to your World of Hyatt account. Fortunately, the transfer should happen instantly.

I’ve stayed here before and it’s an excellent property located right in the heart of South Beach.

Hot Tip:

World of Hyatt is regularly considered one of Chase’s best transfer partners. If you enjoy the Hyatt portfolio of hotels, you may consider The World of Hyatt Credit Card to earn even more Hyatt points and have automatic Discoverist elite status, among other benefits.

Labor Day Weekend Baseball in Chicago

There’s arguably nothing better than going to a baseball game on a long holiday weekend, and with the Chase points you’ll earn, you could catch the Cubs playing the Pirates in September for 2 travelers.

I found round-trip direct flights on United Airlines from Los Angeles (LAX) to Chicago (ORD) to enjoy the late-summer Chicago weather (and a baseball game) for 30,000 miles and $11.20 in fees per person.

You can transfer these points directly to United MileagePlus, one of Chase’s domestic airline transfer partners.

Hot Tip:

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card comes with a $50 hotel credit every year for properties booked through Chase Travel. There’s no minimum spending requirement, so booking a hotel will earn you an easy $50 statement credit.

A Long Beach Getaway in Mexico

If you’re thinking of escaping the late summer heat for a beautiful beach, you could book 2 round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines and still have Ultimate Rewards points to spare.

However, you will need to spend about $250 in taxes and fees on these Cancún (CUN) flights. You’ll earn 3x or 2x points per $1 spent on those taxes with the Chase Sapphire Reserve card and the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, respectively, as these are considered general travel expenses.

Similar to the 2 examples above, you will need to transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points directly to Southwest Rapid Rewards. When you transfer the points, they’ll typically land in your Southwest loyalty program immediately.

And the best part about Southwest is that each person gets 2 free checked bags, which is still industry-leading as more airlines raise their respective checked bag fees.

Final Thoughts

Chase Ultimate Rewards points are the best value for the majority of travelers, including myself. You’ll get a great blend of transfer partners that span the gamut of travel, from ultra-luxury hotel stays with World of Hyatt to great value with Southwest.
