American Express announced on February 24, 2026, that its reservation platform, Resy, would merge with Tock, an online restaurant platform.

The merger will see thousands of new venues bookable under the Resy umbrella, including some of the world’s most high-end restaurants, wineries, and more. For those with Amex cards boasting Resy dining credits, this is doubly good news.

Here’s what the new merger means for you.

More Than 25,000 New Venues Will Be Bookable Through Resy

American Express will merge its popular Resy platform with Tock this summer, the issuer announced on February 24.

If you aren’t familiar, Tock is a platform that allows you to book reservations, takeout, and unique culinary experiences at restaurants, bars, and wineries around the globe. All told, more than 25,000 new venues will be bookable through Resy, which is already one of the largest dining reservation platforms.

Resy users will see Tock’s restaurants and venues on Resy, while Resy users will see features Tock is known for, like tiered and prepaid experiences, in the app and on Resy.com. As part of the merger, Amex will sunset the Tock app and exploretock.com.

Bottom Line:

This merger makes a lot of sense, especially as Amex expands several of its cards to include lifestyle benefits such as dining credits, fitness, and more.

Is This a Good Thing?

Simply put, Tock merging with Resy is good news for American Express cardholders, especially foodies.

That’s because Tock’s portfolio includes many fine dining restaurants, including Michelin-starred restaurants like Alinea in Chicago and Atomix in New York City, which will soon be bookable through Resy channels.

And that’s not all. Tock also has more than 1,200 wineries through its booking platform, including Heitz Cellar in Napa Valley, California, and Antica Terra in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. These will also become bookable through Resy.

Upwards of 10,000 restaurants can be booked on Resy in the United States alone, so more options are always a good thing. But what we’re most excited about is that some of the new Tock venues can be booked with your Resy dining credits

Several Amex cards offer Resy credits, and cardholders can use them by simply paying their restaurant bill with their card at any restaurant featured on the Resy platform.

It’s unclear exactly which Tock venues will be available, but we’ll keep an eye out and will update this post when we know more.

Here are the Amex cards that include Resy credits (enrollment required for this benefit):

Final Thoughts

Resy’s merger with Tock is excellent news for foodies with an eligible American Express card. Starting this summer, cardholders will be able to use their Resy credits on new high-end restaurants, bars, and wineries around the world.
