We’ve seen offers of 120,000 points on Southwest business cards before, but they required a whopping $15,000 in spending. This offer comes with those same 120,000 points but a lower $10,000 spending requirement.

We value Southwest points at 1.3 cents each, which makes this offer worth $1,560. That’s a huge value, but it actually gets even better. While not technically part of this new welcome offer, after earning those 120,000 points, you could set yourself up to also earn the Southwest Companion Pass.

After spending $10,000 on this card, you’ll have at least 10,000 Rapid Rewards points from the spending plus the 120,000 points from the welcome bonus offer. That will give you at least 130,000 points. Every Southwest credit card also comes with a 10,000-point Companion Pass boost (getting you closer to the 135,000-point annual requirement). If you complete your spending and earn the 120,000-point welcome bonus offer in 2025, you’ll have enough to earn the Companion Pass, which will be valid through the end of 2026.

The Southwest Companion Pass allows you to bring a companion with you on any Southwest flight for just the cost of the taxes and fees for the second ticket ($5.60 one way for domestic flights). That means you can bring a designated friend on any and every Southwest flight you take through the end of 2026. As long as there is a seat for sale (it doesn’t even need to be in the same fare class as the original ticket), you can add a companion.

Bottom Line:

The Southwest Performance Business card has a huge new welcome offer for 120,000 points after spending $10,000 on purchases in the first 3 months. Plus, if you complete the minimum spend and the welcome bonus offer posts to your account in 2025, you’ll also earn the Southwest Companion Pass.

Benefits of the Southwest Performance Business Card

The Southwest Performance Business card could be a good option for business owners who fly Southwest even a handful of times throughout the year. The card earns 4x points on Southwest purchases and 2x points in these categories:

  • Commuting
  • Gas stations
  • Hotels booked directly
  • Local transit
  • Restaurants
  • Rideshare

Additionally, cardholders get 9,000 bonus points each year on the card’s anniversary and a 10,000-point boost towards earning the Companion Pass. There’s also a $120 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck fee credit. Plus, cardholders can earn Southwest elite status faster with 2,500 Tier Qualifying Points for every $5,000 spent annually.

  • First free checked bag for cardholder and up to 8 passengers on the same reservation
  • Get a free Extra Legroom Seat up to 48 hours before boarding, when available
  • Get group 5 early boarding for cardholder and up to 8 passengers on the same reservation

There are a few perks available on the card that will expire at the end of 2025:

  • 3x points on hotel and car rental partners
  • 2x points on social media and search engine advertising and internet, cable, and phone services
  • $500 fee credit for point transfers
  • 365 inflight Wi-Fi credits each year
  • 4 Upgraded Boardings per year, when available
