Spirit Airlines is refreshing its inflight menu with several new and exciting food and beverage options.

“We know our guests have great taste when they choose to fly Spirit, and now we’re giving them delicious new choices to add more flavor and value to their adventure,” said Dana Shapir Alviene, senior vice president of inflight and airport experience at Spirit Airlines.

Spirit Adds 12 New Food and Drink Options

Spirit Airlines is adding 12 new items and combo options. These include both sweet and savory snacks, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. New options include Quaker maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal, mini sandwich cremes, Coke Zero, and the Buzzbox Cuban mojito.

Spirit says you’ll save money by purchasing a bundle. For instance, the “Lil’ Something” combo includes a hot drink (like a coffee) and a snack. The priciest option includes 2 liquors, 2 cold beverages, and 2 snacks for $38.99. You can view the full menu here.

Here’s what you’ll receive on your Spirit flight, depending on the fare type booked:

  • Go Big: Premium snacks and drinks are included.
  • Go Comfy: A small snack and a non-alcoholic drink are included, and you can purchase additional snacks and drinks.
  • Go Savvy and Go: Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.

As mentioned above, customers who purchase a Go Big fare receive complimentary snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. Customers who purchase a Go Comfy fare receive a complimentary More Fly snack mix and a non-alcoholic beverage of their choice.

You’ll get even more perks if you’re a Free Spirit Gold member. These flyers receive select complimentary inflight beverages and snacks, including soft drinks, coffee, chips, candy, pretzels, and other small treats.

The Free Spirit program offers many other benefits beyond snacks and drinks. These include the ability to pool points, same-day standby, the option to select exit-row seats at no additional cost, priority boarding, higher earning rates on purchases, and more.

Bottom Line:

In recent years, Spirit has attempted to shed its low-cost reputation and align more closely with full-service carriers. These include new benefits for customers, such as complimentary Wi-Fi, priority boarding, and enhanced perks for Spirit credit card members.

Final Thoughts

Spirit Airlines is updating its inflight food and beverage menu with new options, including name-brand snacks and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

We’re looking forward to trying these new options on our next Spirit flight!
