United has been making big moves at its Denver (DEN) hub in recent years.

Since 2021, the airline has invested almost $1 billion in its facilities at the Colorado airport to improve the passenger experience and fuel network growth. Its route map has expanded considerably, with United serving more than 180 destinations across 11 countries.

However, it’s not only the route network that’s seen growth and investment. United has spent a lot of time and a whole lot of money improving the experience for passengers passing through the airport. Since 2023, the airline has completed expansions and renovations of all of its United Club locations at the airport.

The yearslong process culminates this week with the opening of a brand-new United Club at the west end of Concourse B, which becomes the airline’s fourth lounge at the airport.

Upgraded Points was invited to tour the lounge as part of a media preview before the space’s official opening on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Here’s what you can expect from the brand-new United Club Denver B West.

New United Club Denver B West

United flyers passing through Denver (DEN) will be excited to learn that there’s a new United Club offering at the carrier’s fastest-growing hub.

Near gate B32 at the west end of Concourse B, the new United Club offers 33,000 square feet and more than 600 seats spread across 2 levels.

The lounge entrance was covered during my visit but that will change come Thursday.

It complements the existing United Club at the east end of Concourse B. This gives passengers 2 options in this concourse, and they can visit the Club that works best with their gate assignment — especially convenient considering Concourse B stretches for almost a mile.

As is de rigueur in the world of airline lounges, United has designed the space with the local market in mind, employing a design scheme inspired by the state of Colorado and “locally sourced decor.” It also offers many thoughtful amenities that modern travelers appreciate, such as dedicated wellness rooms.

The United Club Denver B West opens to eligible flyers Thursday, July 31, 2025, and will operate from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mountain time daily. You enter the new lounge on the concourse level, then go up to floors 3 and 4 to access the lounge itself.

United also operates a lounge in Concourse A in addition to the United Club Fly outpost that’s been open since 2022. In total, the airline offers more than 100,000 square feet of United Club space, with capacity for almost 1,600 passengers.

Amenities

From dedicated wellness rooms and a shuffleboard area to multiple dining spaces and 2 full-service bars, there’s a lot of ground to cover at the brand-new United Club in Concourse B.

Seating

First things first: There are plenty of places to sit and relax in this new lounge. This new United Club offers a wide variety of seating to suit whatever mood you may find yourself in before you fly.

The first floor of the lounge is 1 floor above the concourse. As you step off the escalator, you’re greeted by a homey, cozy, and very clearly Colorado-inspired seating area reminiscent of a living room in a high-end mountain home. If you’ve visited any of United’s newer lounges, the living room vibes will be familiar.

United Club Denver B West Level 3 Entry Tables
The vibes were cozy from the start.

This space is replete with a pair of handsome leather couches atop a hearty-looking plaid carpet framed beautifully by a “fireplace” surrounded by snazzy white marble.

United Club Denver B West Level 3 Fireplace
This isn’t real fire, of course.

The fireplace divides this area but passes through to the other half of the space, allowing more passengers to embrace the cozy aura found throughout the lounge. You’ll also find high-backed armchairs clad in inviting blue fabric, perfect for a solo traveler seeking relaxation.

Big fan of the carpet.

The first floor has plenty more seating, including banquette-style seating with bistro tables, perfect for a pair of travelers.

Opposite that is a high-top counter with up-close-and-personal views of the tarmac. Thanks to the views alone, this would be a top choice for me.

United Jets Lineup at Denver
What a lovely view.

Wandering into the first of the 2 bar spaces, I immediately felt like I was entering a craft beer brewery — of which Denver has many.

United Club Denver B West Level 3 Bar
This space felt more like a downtown brewery than an airport.

The space has exposed ceilings, concrete floors and counters, plenty of stools at communal, high-top tables, and even standing-only concrete counters where someone could grab a beer and chat with a fellow flyer. And, yes, Coors (and Coors Light) is on tap.

The mountains are blue!

Adjacent to the bar is one of my favorite seating types: single booths with sizable tables at each. These spaces are private and practical. They’d be a perfect spot to get work done (or watch your favorite show) while having a bite to eat.

I could see myself occupying one of these booths for quite some time.

Take the escalator up another floor, and you’ll find even more seating variety, although the vibes are similar.

Note, too, that the lounge is accessible with an elevator that can take guests between floors.

An elevator is available.

Off the escalator is an even larger “living room” with an (also larger) fireplace setup.

United Club Denver B West Level 4 Fireplace and Couches
The fireplace is larger on the fourth floor.

Flanking this space are individual booths with wallpaper designed as an ode to the mountains — a really cool touch.

Check out that mountain-themed wallpaper!

Pairs of saddle-colored leather chairs are scattered around this floor, reminding me of some of the furniture in the renovated Polaris Lounge at Chicago O’Hare (ORD).

United Club Denver B West Saddle Armchairs
Comfy chairs make for a relaxing visit.

Adjacent to the bar is an open seating area with large coffee tables surrounded by individual chairs and leather stools. This immediately made me picture a family or group of friends sitting around the table and playing a game of cards.

United Club Denver B West Level 4 Bar Seating
Families or groups could easily gather around these tables and play a game or two.

The views are even better from the second floor, where a row of chairs and small tables lining the floor-to-ceiling glass wall offers incredible views of the planes below.

Again, lovely views.

Wellness Rooms

United included a pair of dedicated wellness rooms at this new United Club in Denver. Each room is spacious and has a chair designed specifically to support nursing mothers in addition to a baby changing station and a sink. The provided diapers are sure to be a welcome sight for parents!

Yes, that’s a stack of diapers!

Game Room

On the fourth floor, you’ll find a small game area with a shuffleboard table, complete with United Club branding in the center.

United Club Denver B West Shuffleboard Logo
You won’t forget where you are when you’re playing shuffleboard.

While it’s the only game available, I’m sure it’ll be a hit with guests of all ages. The media and content creators present at the preview certainly loved trying their hand at a slide or 2.

This area’s probably going to be a hit.

Restrooms

There are dedicated men’s and women’s restrooms (a pair of each) and 2 all-gender restrooms available. I visited the men’s room and am pleased to report that there are stalls with floor-to-ceiling privacy, several urinals, and vanities with plenty of counter space.

Plenty of privacy.

Notably, showers are absent at this brand-new lounge.

And plenty of counter space.

Internet

Wi-Fi was (somewhat surprisingly) not password protected, though that may change as the lounge opens for the (eligible) public. I connected quickly and I found speeds to be excellent throughout my visit.

Power

As you’d expect for a lounge opening in 2025, power is plentiful, with AC outlets and both USB-A and USB-C ports at almost every seat.

Design Inspired by Colorado

The new space looks and feels very similar to the other lounges in Denver, so if you frequent the airport, you won’t be shocked by the newest Club.

United Club Denver B West Individual Booth Seating
The furniture, fabric, and colors felt very appropriate for Colorado.

The design exhibits the latest design and vision for United Clubs while weaving in touches that are distinctly Colorado.

From the fireplaces to the chunky plaid print on the carpeting, the decor and ambience feel location-appropriate, though with a modern and sophisticated twist.

United Club Denver B West Level 4 Seating Options
Liberal use of wood gives the feeling of a home in the mountains.

Artwork was curated in partnership with NINE dot ARTS, a Denver-based firm specializing in placemaking, and includes works sourced locally from 8 artists.

One of the most impressive pieces of art is the set of large, hanging fish sculptures in the foyer. They immediately made me think of the many rivers and streams flowing mightily through the mountainous landscape of Colorado.

Fish! In the airport!

United has absolutely taken its design ethos up several notches with its latest string of Club openings. I spoke with Aaron McMillan, United’s managing director of hospitality programs, who said that this design language — at a very high level — can be expected to proliferate across the network of United Clubs into the 2030s, which is good news for airports that may not have a renovated or brand-new United Club at this point.

The overall design is very sophisticated.

Food and Drinks

There’s nothing revolutionary to report on the food and beverage front. The offerings fall in line with what you’ll find at United Clubs across the network. Don’t expect a sit-down restaurant here.

Full-Service Bars

As mentioned earlier, there are 2 full-service bars available.

The first-floor space is more casual and feels like a brewery you might find in a trendy area of downtown Denver.

Upstairs, the bar feels more buttoned up. Both offer plenty of space for sitting (or standing).

Both serve a full range of beer, wine, liquor, soft drinks, and more. Well drinks and select beers and wines are complimentary, though you can purchase an upgraded beverage with cash or United MileagePlus miles.

United Club Denver B West Level 4 Bar Selection
You won’t go thirsty here.

You’ll also find dedicated beverage stations scattered throughout the lounge, which offer self-serve coffee, fruit-infused water, a very cool water spout that can dispense still, sparkling, and hot water, and Coca-Cola freestyle machines. Cherry Coke Zero, anyone?

United Club Denver B West Coca Cola Freestyle
Plenty of soft drinks are also available.

Self-Serve Buffet

There are numerous food stations throughout the lounge.

You can expect the standard fare for a United Club. Think cold foods like sandwiches, cheese, premade salads, assorted snacks, and more.

Hot foods include pastas, soups, and more unusual fare like artichoke bake and a summer-vegetable frittata.

United Club Denver B West Hot Food Items
I was a fan of the pasta with vegetables at the far end.

I didn’t have enough time to try everything on offer, but I fixed myself a small plate for a quick lunch, and enjoyed what I had — especially the pasta with vegetables.

How To Access United Clubs

There are various ways to access United Clubs, including flying in a premium cabin, holding the right credit card, and having a certain level of elite status.

United Club Denver B West Check in
There are numerous ways to access United Clubs.

Fly in a Premium Cabin

Passengers with a business- or first-class ticket on a United or Star Alliance partner flight can enter United Club lounges when flying internationally or on premium transcontinental flights.

Achieve Elite Status

United Premier Gold (or higher) flyers traveling on an international flight operated by a Star Alliance carrier can enter United Clubs regardless of what cabin they’re flying in. Additionally, Star Alliance Gold members have access to United Clubs when flying with a Star Alliance carrier, even domestically.

Purchase a One-Time Access Pass

Travelers may purchase a one-time pass at any club or through United’s mobile app (iOS, Android). Note that some United co-branded cards provide 2 one-time passes to cardholders each year. More on that below.

Purchase a United Club Membership

You can purchase an annual membership to the United Club network. The price (whether you choose to pay with cash or miles) varies based your level of status in the MileagePlus program. Note that individual members cannot bring a guest with them. On the other hand, All Access members can bring 1 adult and any dependent children under 18 or can bring up to 2 adult guests.

Hold the Right Credit Card

The following MileagePlus credit cards provide access to United Club lounges as part of their benefits:

Final Thoughts

United has given Denver passengers a much-needed boost in lounge space at the fast-growing hub. The new United Club Denver B West builds on what the airline began a few years ago with renovations and expansions to the airport’s other United Club locations.

With United’s growth in Denver showing no signs of slowing down, this addition of more than 30,000 square feet of lounge space came not a moment too soon. Now all that’s needed is the much-anticipated Polaris Lounge!
