A new all-inclusive Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is coming to the Dominican Republic, scheduled to open in mid-December.

Let’s take a look at the new resort and how you can book it with Wyndham Rewards points!

Wyndham Expands All-Inclusive Presence in Dominican Republic

Viva Miches by Wyndham, a Trademark All Inclusive Resort, will have 538 guest rooms, though a later expansion will bring the total to over 700. All rooms will have a garden, ocean, or oceanfront view, while some will even have private plunge pools.

Amenities include 5 dining options, a pool with a swim-up bar, nightly entertainment, seasonal whale watching, and more. Located in the town of Miches on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, the resort is approximately 90 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).

“Viva Miches represents a significant milestone for Viva Resorts by Wyndham,” said Dominique Colussi, vice president of development. “We are excited to expand even further and introduce this exceptional resort to travelers seeking an all-inclusive experience on an off-the-beaten-path paradise. This hidden jewel promises a magical escape for all.”

This will become Wyndham’s ninth all-inclusive property in the Caribbean and its sixth in the Dominican Republic.

Bottom Line:

Wyndham recently added 9 new all-inclusive hotels in the Caribbean and Latin America through a new partnership with Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts.

Booking Viva Miches by Wyndham

Viva Miches by Wyndham doesn’t open until December. However, the hotel is accepting reservations now with cash or Wyndham Rewards points.

Wyndham has a simple award chart, with awards starting at 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points per night for all hotels. In this case, Viva Miches by Wyndham falls into the 30,000-point-per-night category as a higher-end property.

You’ll also find cash rates for just $200 per night for dates in December.

Earning Wyndham Rewards points isn’t difficult, even if you aren’t a loyalist. That’s because you can earn welcome bonuses through a Barclays co-branded Wyndham Rewards credit card or transfer from Citi ThankYou Rewards or Capital One Miles.

Final Thoughts

It’s always great news to learn of a new all-inclusive that can be booked with points. Viva Miches by Wyndham, a Trademark All-Inclusive Resort, offers high-end amenities at decent cash and points rates. We hope to see Wyndham grow its portfolio further in the Caribbean!
