IHG has brought its premium lifestyle brand, voco, to Vietnam for the first time. With the opening of Voco Ma Belle Danang on the Central Coast, IHG now has 50 Voco properties in operation worldwide — and more than 50 additional properties are already in the pipeline.

Here’s what you need to know about this brand-new property.

Voco Ma Belle Danang Now Open to Guests

On June 12, 2023, IHG debuted its first voco property in Vietnam.

The 290-room voco Ma Belle Danang is just steps from iconic My Khe Beach, offering spectacular cityscape or seaside views.

The towering 27-story property offers 3 restaurants and bars including a lobby lounge; Lyla, an all-day dining restaurant; and Ciela Skybar and Dining, one of the city’s only rooftop bars. This voco property also has a pool located on the roof.

Additional guest amenities include a premium spa facility and a 24-hour gym.

In terms of design, voco Ma Belle Danang is modern with clean lines and curved walls, gallery-inspired art, and a color palette of teal, yellow, and grey, which IHG says “creates a sense of fluidity and sophistication.”

“With great accessibility to the downtown area, spectacular views, and a wide variety of activities tailored for guests of all ages, Danang is the perfect destination for us to mark the brand’s debut in Vietnam,” said Daniel Solombrino, General Manager for voco Ma Belle Danang.

As is the norm at all voco-branded hotels, there’s a locally-inspired welcome treat for guests at check-in. At this Danang location, travelers are treated to complimentary mango macarons.

Booking Voco Ma Belle Danang With IHG Points

If you’re looking to visit central Vietnam with IHG points, this property may become one of your best bets.

There’s a strong value proposition with rates starting from 14,000 IHG One Rewards points, or just $79 per night. As with the entire IHG portfolio, there isn’t a set award chart. Instead, it means award prices can fluctuate depending on seasonability and demand (just like with cash bookings).

IHG offers 3 co-branded credit cards — 2 personal and 1 business — all of which are issued by Chase. If you don’t have enough IHG points, you can transfer more from select credit card partners. Chase Ultimate Rewards points and Bilt Rewards points transfer to IHG One Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

Launched in 2018, voco has quickly become the fastest-growing brand within IHG’s portfolio, with 200 hotels expected by 2028.

The Ma Belle Danang is the 50th voco to ever open, and with a beachside location, affordable pricing, and an array of attractions nearby, it’s an exciting moment for IHG aficionados.
