Wyndham Rewards members who use points for Vacasa vacation rentals just received a curveball.

Following Vacasa’s acquisition by Casago, the company has informed Wyndham that it plans to wind down the partnership. However, there’s still time to book, modify, or pivot to other redemptions.

Here’s what that timeline looks like and what to do if you already have a stay on the books.

Details of Wyndham’s Vacasa Partnership Ending in November

According to Wyndham, members can still use points to book Vacasa reservations through November 30, 2025, as long as the checkout date is no later than January 31, 2026. After November 30, 2025, you won’t be able to book Vacasa stays with Wyndham Rewards points at all.

If you haven’t booked through Vacasa before, it’s a vacation rental platform similar to Airbnb or Vrbo. All of Vacasa’s homes are professionally managed, including dedicated property maintenance, cleaning, and guest services. That means you get the comfort of a rental with the consistency of a hotel stay. For Wyndham Rewards members, this partnership has been a gem, allowing redemptions starting at just 15,000 points per night for an entire Vacasa rental — a perk that, unfortunately, will soon cease to exist.

If you already have a Vacasa reservation, you’re in good shape.Wyndham says all existing bookings will be honored. You can also modify those reservations through November 30, 2025, but any date changes must also end by January 31, 2026. After December 1, 2025, no more changes will be allowed.

Wyndham also noted that most Vacasa inventory should stay available during the transition, though some properties may temporarily not show up due to Vacasa’s booking system upgrades. If that happens, Wyndham says it will work to provide alternate options, or you can cancel within normal cancellation rules.

Wyndham will post updated language on its site and email anyone who booked a Vacasa stay within the past 12 months. Members with questions can call 1-800-441-1034.

Hot Tip:

If you’ve had your eye on a Vacasa ski cabin, beach house, or spacious family rental for the next few months, make sure to lock it in by November 30, 2025. You can still tweak your reservation through that date if plans change. However, once December 1 rolls around, the Vacasa window officially closes for Wyndham redemptions.

Final Thoughts

This is definitely disappointing news. Vacasa has been one of Wyndham’s most flexible and valuable real-world redemptions, especially for families. But the good part is that Wyndham gave members some time to lock in their future stays and make any changes to existing bookings before they can no longer do so.

If Vacasa was part of your upcoming travel plans, get those stays locked in now, make any tweaks before the end of November 2025, and keep an eye on Wyndham’s site for updated language.
