There are 2 key reasons to book hotels with The Edit by Chase Travel. The first is the annual statement credit, and the second is the package of on-site benefits you receive.

Annual Statement Credits

• 2025: $500 in annual statement credits, $250 statement credit January through June, and $250 July through December
• 2026: $500 annual statement credit that can be used in full for any stay throughout the year

The stay must be 2 nights or longer to receive the credit. You can use a combination of Ultimate Rewards points and your card for the booking, but the statement credit is applied to the amount charged to the associated card.

Existing Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders (as of June 23, 2025) receive a $250 credit for The Edit on October 26, 2025, to use in 2025. New cardholders for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card are eligible for the benefit immediately upon approval of their new card.

The high-end properties in The Edit hotel collection can be expensive. For this reason, to maximize the credit and minimize out-of-pocket expense, we’ll follow these guidelines:

• Find the best property with the lowest night rate.
• Limit the stay to the required 2-night minimum to minimize out-of-pocket costs but still utilize the annual credit.
• Redeem Ultimate Rewards points using Points Boost to receive up to 2 cents per point to pay for any amount not offset by the credit.
• Take advantage of current hotel loyalty programs when possible.

To book a hotel property with The Edit, start by logging in to your online Chase card account.

On your account dashboard, select the option to redeem your Ultimate Rewards points. Then choose to book travel.

After typing in your destination city and dates, you can sort the results of your search by The Edit collection only, by price, and more. Be sure to search for a 2-night stay, or benefits won’t apply.

Once you’ve selected a property you like, you can pay with Ultimate Rewards points and your associated Chase card.

Remember, the amount you charge to your card is the amount that the credit is applied to. We’ll discuss the application of the credit in more detail later in the article.

We searched the world for cities with at least 2 Edit properties available for $350 or less per night. This price point helps ensure you receive the maximum value when using the credit without incurring a significant out-of-pocket expense.

Having access to an annual hotel credit and on-site benefits means little if you cannot find an affordable property. And, while the annual credit generally won’t cover a 2-night stay, you can still receive tremendous value, especially when you consider the extra value of the on-site benefits.

1. Las Vegas, Nevada

One of the least expensive destinations to use the credit is Las Vegas. You can find several properties where the credit can cover a significant portion or even an entire 2-night stay.

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino and the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino are just 2 ideas out of many.

2. Québec City, Quebec

If you’ve ever wanted to stay at the iconic Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, here’s your chance. We found a 2-night stay for $655, including taxes. Booking after January 1, 2026, you’d receive the $500 credit for The Edit, leaving just $155 to be covered with less than 8,000 Ultimate Rewards points!

7. Mexico City, Mexico

How To Calculate the Net Cost of a Stay With The Edit

Remember, Ultimate Rewards points are worth 2 cents each when using Points Boost to pay for the amount of your reservation that is not covered by the Edit credit.

You can also pay the balance with your associated Chase card and earn 8x Ultimate Rewards points. You do not earn Ultimate Rewards points on the portion of the reservation cost covered by the Edit credit.

Here’s how to calculate the net cost of your reservation when using the credit card and Ultimate Rewards points:

Using the $250 credit in 2025 example:

• Total cost of the 2-night stay: $700
• Subtract the credit of $250 = $450 balance
• Divide by 2 = 225
• Multiply by 100 = 22,500 Chase Ultimate Rewards points needed in addition to the credit

Using the $500 credit in 2026 example:

• Cost of 2-night stay: $700
• Subtract the credit of $500 = $200 balance
• Divide the balance by 2 = 100
• Multiply by 100 = 10,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards needed in addition to the credit.

On your card statement, you will see the amount you charged to your Chase card, with the credit posting shortly after. In this case, the credit was posted the same day I made the prepaid reservation.

Stack With Additional Chase Travel Benefits

We’ve discussed The Edit credit and how it’s improving in 2026, as well as the fact that you’ll receive IHG One Platinum Elite status (activation required) with your card. However, an additional Chase benefit is on the way. Starting January 1, 2026, prepaid hotel stays (of 2 nights or more) at the following partner brands will receive a $250 credit:
