There’s never been a better time to consider adding Chase’s Aeroplan® Credit Card to your wallet.

For a limited time only, successful new card applicants from July 8 until July 17, 2024, will enjoy increased bonus points in addition to the welcome bonus of 70,000 bonus points.

The Aeroplan card offers a variety of great perks, including the ability to redeem your Aeroplan points to Pay Yourself Back, a feature unique to specific Chase cards.

Let’s take a look at all the details and see who should apply for the Aeroplan card!

Aeroplan Card’s 70k Welcome Bonus Offer

The Aeroplan card now features an elevated welcome offer:

  • Earn 70,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months
  • Earn 40% bonus points on purchases for 40 days on up to $40,000 spent.

What can you do with 70,000 bonus points? You could leverage Aeroplan points to experience Emirates business class class without paying an arm and a leg.

Aeroplan Card Rewards and Benefits

The Aeroplan card is a solid option for many people, even if they aren’t Air Canada frequent flyers. This is thanks to Air Canada’s membership in the Star Alliance, which allows members to redeem points for flights on airlines including United, Lufthansa, ANA, and SWISS.

With an annual fee of just $95, you can expect to receive the following:

  • 3x points per $1 spent on Air Canada purchases, at grocery stores, and dining at restaurants (including takeout and eligible delivery services)
  • 500 bonus points for every $2,000 you spend in a calendar month (up to a maximum of 1,500 bonus points)
  • Receive automatic Aeroplan 25K status for the remainder of the calendar year, plus the following calendar year. Extend it beyond that by spending $15,000 on the card per calendar year, or qualify for 35K elite status after spending $50,000 in a calendar year
  • Free checked bag for the cardholder and up to 8 traveling companions on Air Canada flights
  • Global Entry,  TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS fee credit
  • Preferred pricing on award tickets
  • No foreign transaction fees
Hot Tip:

Additional spend thresholds starting at $100,000 of spending in a calendar year will unlock unprecedented Aeroplan redemption benefits, including 50% off Priority Rewards and companion benefits.

Final Thoughts

This is your opportunity to apply for the new welcome offer on the Aeroplan card, which grants the ability to earn 40% bonus points for 40 days (up to $40,000 spent), and 70,000 bonus points after meeting the minimum spend. Not to mention, the card offers great benefits, and such a large welcome offer doesn’t come around all that often.
