There’s a new targeted promotion from American Airlines to earn bonus Loyalty Points and help you get that next level of elite status. If you have a co-branded credit card with the airline, you’ll want to check your AA account or email to see what offers you have.

Here are the details of this new American Airlines promotion!

New Loyalty Points Promotion

If you’re an American Airlines flyer, check your account to see if you were targeted for this new promotion. You must register by Saturday, August 31, and meet these spending minimums:

  • September 1 to 30: Spend $3,250 on your credit card, earn 2,500 bonus Loyalty Points
  • October 1 to 31: Spend $3,250 on your credit card, earn 2,500 bonus Loyalty Points
  • November 1 to 30: Spend $3,250 on your credit card, earn 2,500 bonus Loyalty Points

If you meet all 3 goals, you’ll earn an additional 2,500 Loyalty Points for a total of up to 10,000 bonus Loyalty Points. These count towards your American Airlines elite status level and are different from redeemable AAdvantage miles.

Be sure to check your email or American Airlines account for this offer, and Upgraded Points staffer Stella Shon found this promotion on her Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard®.

How To Check To See if You Were Targeted

To see if you were targeted for this new American Airlines promotion, log in to your AA account and look for Rewards hub > Promotions. Don’t forget to register first before spending.

Final Thoughts

Don’t forget to register even if you don’t think you’ll be able to take advantage of the offer. You never know when plans can change, helping you reach your elite status goals by the end of 2024.
