Avelo Airlines is introducing brand-new service to the world’s busiest airport — Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport — and bringing back some popular routes this fall.

Let’s take a look at this exciting news from the low-cost carrier.

Avelo’s Newest Destination: Atlanta (ATL)

Avelo Airlines will begin its first-ever service from its base in Wilmington, Delaware, (ILG) to Atlanta, with 2x weekly flights beginning on November 8.

Additionally, the airline will restart flights in November from Wilmington to 3 popular Florida destinations: Daytona Beach (DAB), Palm Beach (PBI), and Sarasota-Bradenton (SRQ).

Avelo’s decision to add Atlanta service is an interesting, though not entirely unexpected, move. Five airlines — American, Delta, Frontier, Spirit, and Southwest — all operate nonstop service nearby Philadelphia (PHL). However, Wilmington (which serves the Delaware Valley) is a huge hub for Avelo, which will base a second aircraft at the airport.

“Avelo is proud to be the Philadelphia / Delaware Valley region’s airline of choice and continue growth at ILG with a new route to Atlanta, the return of Daytona Beach, the Palm Beaches and Sarasota-Bradenton and adding back our second based aircraft,” said CEO Andrew Levy.

How To Book Avelo Flights

Like many of its new routes, Avelo is running promotional fares for its inaugural flights. The airline is offering flights starting at just $46 each way. You must book by Tuesday, August 13, and travel between November 8 and 18.

Unfortunately, Avelo doesn’t have its own credit card or loyalty program. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t earn points for your purchase. You just have to book your tickets with a travel credit card to maximize flight purchases. Here are some of the best travel cards out right now:

Final Thoughts

Avelo is all-in on its Wilmington hub as it launches or brings back 4 routes in time for the fall travel season. If you’re interested in checking out Avelo’s new routes, make sure to book before August 13!
