Award Alert Details

We are seeing wide-open availability in each direction, flying lie-flat business class on SWISS, starting at 60,000 points when booking via Air Canada Aeroplan.

There are also economy flights for just 35,000 points if you don’t mind flying in the back of the plane on this nonstop, 8-hour flight.

  • Class: Business
  • Booking program: Aeroplan
  • Airline: SWISS
  • Route: Boston (BOS), Newark (EWR), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington Dulles (IAD) to Zurich (ZRH); plus New York (JFK) to Geneva (GVA)
  • Cost: From 60,000 Aeroplan points and CA$79 (roughly $56) in taxes and fees
  • Travel dates: June 2026 to April 2027
  • Award seats: Up to 9 passengers per route in business, up to 9 passengers in economy

With availability for up to 9 passengers in business class on some dates, this is a great chance to visit Switzerland or use its central location as a jumping-off point to explore Europe through the end of the year.

There are multiple dates available for flights to Zurich and Geneva. You can check a tool like Seats.aero to see numerous dates and routes at once, then head to Aeroplan to book once you’ve found something you like.

How To Book

We recommend booking these award flights through Aeroplan. You’ll pay 60,000 points plus about $56 per person on flights like New York (JFK) to Zurich (ZRH).

If you’re flying from central or western parts of the U.S., you’ll pay slightly more: 70,000 points per person. Here’s an example from Los Angeles (LAX) to Zurich:

Some routes are available through Avianca Lifemiles, costing anywhere from 63,000 to 80,000 miles per person. Pricing depends on the route and whether you have a connecting flight, based on a recent devaluation.

It’s also possible to pay 100,000 ANA Mileage Club miles per person round-trip (or 50,000 ANA miles one-way) or 80,000 to 88,000 United MileagePlus miles per person one-way. The lower price is available to United elite members or United credit card holders. However, these programs show less availability than Aeroplan offers.

No matter how you book, there is currently great availability in both economy and business class. Availability runs through April 2027, so you can play around with dates to find the best itinerary.

The good thing about this award is that you can quickly and easily transfer from Amex Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One miles, Chase Ultimate Rewards, and Rove Miles to Air Canada Aeroplan at a 1:1 rate. Finally, you can even transfer from Marriott Bonvoy at a 3:1 ratio if you’re in a pinch.
