Cheese, chocolate, and beautiful scenery … what more could you want in a destination? How about arriving there in a lie-flat business class?

Our team has found plenty of availability for flights to Zurich, Switzerland from several U.S. airports for just 60,000 points each way.

With wide-open award availability round-trip, this may be the best time to book a fall Europe trip or a Swiss ski vacation this winter! Let’s take a look at the details.

Award Deal — Details

We are seeing wide-open availability in each direction, flying lie-flat business class on SWISS Air or in United Polaris starting at 60,000 points when booking via Air Canada Aeroplan.

There are also options in economy for just 35,000 points, if you don’t mind flying in the back of the plane on this nonstop, 8-hour flight.

  • Class: Business
  • Route: Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Miami (MIA) New York (JFK), Newark (EWR), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Washington, D.C. (IAD), to Zurich (ZRH)
  • Cost: 60,000 to 70,000 Aeroplan points and CA $77 (~$57) in taxes and fees
  • Travel Dates: October 2024 to April 2025
  • Award Seats: Up to 9 passengers per route

With availability for up to 9 passengers, this is a great chance to visit Switzerland or use its central location as a jumping-off point to explore Europe this summer and beyond.

How To Book

We generally recommend booking these award flights through Aeroplan. However, you could technically redeem fewer miles by booking with Avianca LifeMiles, but the airline program is having some serious errors while pricing out taxes and fees on certain routes — such as New York (JFK) to Zurich (ZRH).

However, you could book Boston (BOS) to Zurich (ZRH) for just 63,000 miles and $27.80 in taxes and fees through LifeMiles.

No matter how you book, there is currently wide-open availability each way, both in economy and business class. Most of the availability runs through early 2025, so play around with dates to find the best itinerary for you.

The good thing about Aeroplan points is that you can quickly (and easily) transfer them from Amex Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One Miles, and Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Air Canada Aeroplan at a 1:1 rate. Through July 31, 2024, you’ll even receive a 20% transfer bonus when moving over Amex Membership Rewards points to Air Canada Aeroplan, so you can book these same flights for 67,000 points. Finally, you can even transfer from Marriott Bonvoy at a 3:1 ratio if you are in a pinch.

Hot Tip:

Our free transfer partner calculator is an excellent tool for discovering where you can use your points and miles.

Final Thoughts

Jetting off to Switzerland in business class is a dream for many. And with 60k- to 70k-point flights, we can help make that dream a reality!

If you are ready to book your flight, just navigate over to Aeroplan’s website, and you will be on your way in just a few clicks.
