The Bilt Rent Day promotion in June comes with a very interesting twist. Not only can you transfer Bilt Points to a large hotel loyalty program with a bonus of up to 200%, but you can then transfer those points to several airline partners. This opens the door to a spate of premium-class redemptions at very favorable rates.

Let’s see how it works.

How To Transfer From Bilt to Accor to Flying Blue

Bilt Rewards is unique among travel-reward programs, allowing members to pay rent using their Bilt Mastercard (rates & fees) without incurring any extra transaction fees while earning Bilt points on up to 100,000 points per year.

Every month, it also has a Rent Day promotion where members can enjoy double points on non-rent spending, up to 1,000 points per month. Just remember that you need to use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points (rewards & benefits). In June, Bilt members are eligible for an up to 200% bonus when transferring points to Accor, the hotel giant.

Accor Live Limitless, the loyalty program for one of the world’s biggest hotel chains, is among several Bilt transfer partners. On June 1 and June 2, Bilt is offering up to a 200% transfer bonus to Accor. The percentage depends on your Bilt Rewards elite status tier.

Bilt Platinum, Gold

200% transfer bonus (effective transfer rate is 1:2)

Bilt Silver, Blue

50% transfer bonus (effective transfer rate is 1:1)

The transfer bonus will be active from 12 a.m. ET on June 1 until 11:59 p.m. PT on June 2. To transfer, you’ll need to have an account with Accor and transfer in increments of 1,000 Bilt Points. Bilt Blue members must transfer at least 2,000 points.

Normally, Bilt points transfer to Accor at a 3:2 ratio. With this bonus, you could get as many as 2 Accor points per 1 Bilt point on June 1. With Gold or Platinum status, you can trade 1 Bilt point, worth 1.8 cents at our valuations, for 2 Accor points, worth 4.4 cents total. That’s a 144% jump in value.

But you don’t have to redeem those points for Accor stays. You can take advantage of a nifty trick, first reported by View From the Wing, to turn your Accor points into miles with one of our favorite loyalty programs.

Accor points transfer 1:1 to Air France-KLM Flying Blue, which can be used, for example, to book one of the best business-class seats across the Atlantic.

Air France also has a long-haul first class among the best in the world, and it’s even giving it a makeover. To book it with points, you must be at least a Platinum member of Flying Blue — being a top elite with partner Delta doesn’t count, unfortunately — and drop a serious chunk of miles. This transfer bonus from Bilt to Accor to Flying Blue may be your chance to fly Air France’s La Première for fewer miles.

Hot Tip:

Not a Bilt points collector? There are many ways to earn Flying Blue miles. You can also transfer points to Flying Blue from American Express Membership RewardsCapital One milesChase Ultimate RewardsCiti ThankYou Rewards, and Marriott Bonvoy.

Transfer Accor to Avios: Another Great Idea

Accor has another very useful 1:1 transfer partner, Club Iberia Plus. Iberia, the Spanish flag carrier, is among the 5 airlines in the Oneworld alliance using Avios as their loyalty currency: Aer Lingus AerClub, British Airways Executive Club, Finnair Plus, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club all share Avios with Iberia. Once you’ve got Iberia Avios, you can transfer them to those other programs, also at a 1:1 ratio.

Transfering Avios between accounts is easy and generally instant, although you cannot move points to or from Club Iberia Plus within 90 days of joining the program.

Qatar Airways Avios can be used not only for Qatar’s own Qsuites business class but also for domestic flights in the U.S. Iberia Avios can be put to great use, as well, such as flying business class from the U.S. East Coast to Spain for just 34,000 points.

Final Thoughts

This June 1, you can turn Bilt points into Accor points with up to a 200%. From there, you can turn your Accor points into miles with Air France and KLM — to use with partners like Delta or Virgin Atlantic — or Iberia, which you can use with multiple Oneworld airlines. The transfer opportunities here are numerous, but they’ll only last for a day.
