This is your last call to buy Alaska Airlines points with up to a 100% bonus. Although buying points is generally not recommended, there are times when doing so can be a great idea, and I have included a couple of the best ways to redeem Alaska points below.

Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards is a favorite here at Upgraded Points, and for good reason. While there is no single “best” airline loyalty program, many consider Atmos Rewards among the top contenders.

The Atmos Rewards loyalty program features a strong lineup of co-branded credit cards, an extensive list of airline partners, a straightforward approach to earning rewards points and elite status, and the option to add free stopovers, including on one-way award redemptions.

Here’s a look at the current Alaska Airlines points sale, along with fantastic ways to redeem the points you purchase for maximum value.

Buy Alaska Airlines Points With up to a 100% Bonus – Last Call!

Alaska Airlines has a targeted promotion to purchase Alaska Atmos Rewards points with up to a 100% bonus. If you want to take advantage of this sale, you’ll need to hurry because it only goes through February 18, 2026.

The points purchase bonus offer depends on how many points you purchase (remember, this promotion is targeted, so your numbers may be different):

  • Buy 5,000 to 14,000 points and get an 80% bonus
  • Buy 15,000 to 29,000 points and get a 90% bonus
  • Buy 30,000 or more points and get a 100% bonus
  • Direct link to check your offer

Points purchases of less than 5,000 points don’t receive any bonus.

When buying 30,000 points or more to qualify for the 100% bonus, the cost comes out to 1.88 cents per point, and you can purchase up to 100,000 Atmos Rewards points through this promotion. The cost for 200,000 points (including the bonus 100,000 points) would be $3,762.50 after taxes.

It is worth noting that Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points purchases are nonrefundable, and the points do not count toward Alaska elite status.

Hot Tip:

Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points purchases are processed by Points.com, meaning this purchase does not code as airfare on your credit card. To get the most value, consider using a good credit card for everyday spending.

Is It Worth It To Buy Alaska Airlines Points With a 100% Bonus?

We value Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points at 1.6 cents apiece, among the highest of any airline miles. Of course, how you choose to redeem the points determines the value you get.

Alaska Airlines is a member of the Oneworld alliance, so you can redeem points on Oneworld partners, including American AirlinesBritish AirwaysCathay PacificJapan Airlines, and Qatar Airways, among many others.

However, Alaska Airlines also has nonalliance partnerships with several airlines, including Condor AirlinesPorter Airlines, and Starlux Airlines.

If you buy the maximum amount of Alaska Atmos Rewards points allowed through this promotion, you will pay 1.88 cents per point. That is considerably higher than the 1.6 cents we value these points — so why would anyone buy points?

As noted earlier, purchasing points is typically not advisable. That said, there are instances where it can be a solid option, particularly when you have a specific award redemption in mind, and cash fares exceed the cost of buying the points. Over the years, I’ve purchased hundreds of thousands of points across various airline and hotel loyalty programs, and doing so has actually saved me money.

How I Would Redeem Alaska Atmos Rewards Points

As mentioned, if you purchase enough points to receive the 100% bonus, you are essentially buying points at 1.88 cents per point. Although that is higher than our valuation, it is relatively easy to get much more value from these points.

Here’s a look at some redemptions I would make with an Alaska Atmos Rewards points purchase.

Starlux Business Class (85,000 Points)

Although Starlux Airlines is not a Oneworld member yet, their partnership with Alaska Airlines means that you can redeem Alaska Atmos Rewards points for Starlux business class, which ranks among the best business class airlines in the world.

Starlux Airlines only flies to a handful of U.S. airports, nearly all on the West Coast. Even worse, award availability tends to be sparse, as their business class is highly desirable.

However, I was able to find award space on one of the airline’s newest routes between Phoenix (PHX) and Taipei (TPE). A one-way business class flight can be booked for 85,000 Atmos Rewards points, plus taxes and fees.

Cash fares for Starlux Airlines business class tend to be on the pricier side, with one-way flights between the U.S. and Taipei often selling for upward of $3,000.

By leveraging this points sale, you could buy 43,000 Atmos Rewards points for $1,618, including taxes and fees, and receive another 43,000 points with the 100% bonus.

This would cost less than half the cash fare for the Starlux business class flight and deliver just over 4 cents per point in value, far exceeding the points purchase price.

Japan Airlines Business Class (75,000 Points)

After some time in Asia, I would need to return to the U.S. Fortunately, several Alaska Airlines partners offer flights to the U.S. One of these is Japan Airlines, one of my favorite airlines in the world.

I could book a one-way business class flight on Japan Airlines for just 75,000 Atmos Rewards points, plus taxes and fees.

This represents another outstanding redemption, given that one-way Japan Airlines business class fares usually exceed $4,000.

You could buy 38,000 Atmos Rewards points for $1,430, including taxes and fees, and receive an additional 38,000 points with the 100% bonus. This would cost you roughly a third of the cash rate for this Japan Airlines business class flight.

This one-way redemption would net 5.4 cents per point, significantly more than the cost to purchase the points.

Bottom Line:

I could purchase 80,000 Atmos Rewards points for $3,010, including taxes and fees, and receive an additional 80,000 points with the 100% bonus. That would be enough points for one-way business class award redemptions on both Starlux Airlines and Japan Airlines, where cash fares are higher than $7,500.

Final Thoughts

Generally speaking, buying points isn’t a great idea, but there are certain situations where it can make sense. Fortunately, there’s currently a massive sale on Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points — though it’s only available through February 18, 2026.

You should only purchase points if you have a specific redemption in mind. Fortunately, Atmos Rewards points can offer outsize value — often exceeding their purchase cost — when redeemed for premium cabin flights on some of the world’s best airlines.
