JetBlue’s latest promotion lets you buy TrueBlue points with a bonus — as long as you purchase at least 3,000 points by October 28, 2025. At best, you’ll pay 1.4 cents per TrueBlue point.

Let’s look at the promotion details to see if it makes sense for your upcoming travel plans.

Buy JetBlue Points — Details

JetBlue is allowing customers to buy TrueBlue points with a targeted promotion through October 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. We’re seeing up to an incredible 130% bonus , based on how many points you buy:

  • Purchase 1,000 to 2,000 points without a bonus
  • Purchase 3,000 to 9,000 points and get a 100% bonus
  • Purchase 10,000 to 300,000 points and get a 130% bonus (1.4 cents per point)
  • Direct link to promotion

Once you factor in the 7.5% tax recovery fee, you can purchase a total of 300,000 points (before the bonus) and pay $9,675. You’ll bring home 690,000 points, meaning you’ll pay roughly 1.4 cents apiece per TrueBlue point.

You can purchase a maximum of 300,000 TrueBlue points per transaction.

Should You Buy JetBlue TrueBlue Points Right Now?

Depending on the bonus, it rarely makes sense to purchase JetBlue points. That’s because JetBlue TrueBlue is a fixed-value rewards program, meaning the number of points you need for a redemption is tied to the cash cost of the ticket.

In our experience, you’ll receive somewhere between 1.3 cents and 1.5 cents in value on your JetBlue points. Thus, purchasing JetBlue points at 1.4 cents per point is in the middle of the range. You might get better value for your points than the price you paid for them, but there’s a good chance you won’t.

That said, if you’re very close to the number of points you need to make a specific redemption, and a small points purchase would put you over the edge, then purchasing points at these rates could provide solid value.

Maximize JetBlue TrueBlue Points

JetBlue does offer some very high-value redemptions through its partners like Qatar Airways and, more recently, Japan Airlines. Purchasing JetBlue points to redeem for flights with these partners can offer significantly more value than 1.4 cents per point, especially when redeeming for business class flights.

Remember that JetBlue is a 1:1 transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards and Citi ThankYou Rewards. It’s also a 5:4 transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards and a 5:3 transfer partner of Capital One Rewards. If you have points in any of these programs, you could easily top off your TrueBlue account, rather than buying points.

Final Thoughts

This buy-points promotion could help you save money on your next JetBlue trip, depending on how you redeem your rewards. Through October 28, you could buy points with up to a 130% bonus and get them for a fair value based on our average valuations.
