The latest Wyndham Rewards promotion allows you to purchase Wyndham points with a bonus of up to 80%, depending on your elite status, through April 15, 2025. If you qualify for the 80% bonus, you can purchase Wyndham points at a tempting rate for a future free stay.

Here are the details of the promotion, an analysis of whether it’s a good deal, and a look at how you can put these points to good use.

Buy Wyndham Points With up to an 80% Bonus

Through April 15, 2025, you can buy Wyndham Rewards points with a mystery bonus of up to 80%. This latest promotion is part of the Wyndham Rewards member month, and the offer you’re targeted for is tiered based on your elite status level within the program.

Visit Wyndham’s promotional page and click on Reveal Points Bonus to see the bonus you’re targeted for.

As these are mystery offers based on your elite status within the program, not everyone will have the 80% bonus. Here is a look at what the offers look like:

  • Blue and Gold members who purchase 3,000 or more points: Receive an offer of up to 70% bonus points on purchases ($0.76 per point at best)
  • Platinum and Diamond members who purchase 3,000 or more points: Receive an offer of up to 80% bonus points on purchases ($0.72 per point at best)

We value Wyndham points at 0.9 cents apiece. Because you can buy points for less than their average cost, these prices are reasonable. Depending on what you plan to redeem these points for, buying them at 0.72 cents apiece could make sense.

Before we tackle that, here are the other terms of the promotion you should be aware of:

  • The promotion runs from now until April 15, 2025.
  • Purchases made during the promotion period will be counted against the annual maximum cap of 200,000 Wyndham Rewards points.
  • A minimum of 3,000 points is required to trigger the bonus.
  • Points will be posted to the recipient’s Wyndham Rewards account within 72 hours after the completed transaction.
  • Points purchases do not count toward Member Levels.
  • Point purchases are nonrefundable.
  • Not everyone will have the 80% bonus offer.

Is It Worth It?

Wyndham offers 3 categories of award redemptions. But you can also redeem points at Vacasa vacation rentals, thanks to its partnership with Wyndham.

Here’s a look at redemption rates for all 3 categories of Wyndham properties and Vacasa rentals, along with the cash price you’d pay for the points if you were to maximize this promotion:

  • Category 1 (7,500 points per night): As low as $54
  • Category 2 (15,000 points per night): As low as $108
  • Category 3 (30,000 points per night): As low as $216
  • Vacasa Rental (15,000 or 30,000 points per bedroom): As low as $108

Depending on the property you’d like to visit, it could certainly be worth purchasing points at these rates. For instance, Vacasa vacation rentals can be expensive, especially in high-demand locations. Being able to book free nights at these properties starting at $108 per bedroom can be a phenomenal deal.

Don’t forget, though, that Wyndham Rewards is a 1:1 transfer partner of Capital One Miles and Citi ThankYou Rewards. If you currently have a large balance of either of these currencies, it might make more sense to transfer instead of purchasing new points.

Final Thoughts

Buying Wyndham points with a pretty good bonus means you can purchase them at a lower price than what the points are worth on average. If you’re targeted for the 80% bonus, you can take home points for just 0.72 cents apiece. Buying points won’t always make sense, but if you can redeem them at a higher value than what you paid for them, it could be a viable play.

If you are interested in taking advantage of the promotion, make sure you do so before it ends on April 15.
