Airport lounge access is easily one of the most enjoyed credit card perks for points and miles enthusiasts. While there are many airport lounge networks like Priority Pass or airline-specific lounge networks like Delta Sky Club, credit card issuers are growing their own major lounge networks, such as American Express’ Centurion Lounges and the new Chase Sapphire Lounges.

Capital One entered the field in 2021 when it opened its Dallas Capital One Lounge, with 2 other locations opening in 2023 — and now, as spotted by Thrifty Traveler, it has plans to add a fourth location to its growing network.

New Capital One Lounges Planned

Thus far, Capital One has announced plans to open 3 new Capital One Lounge locations in Denver (DEN), Las Vegas (LAS), and Washington, D.C. (IAD). The lounges should largely offer the same amenities as the Dallas (DFW) location, including restaurant-quality dining and shower suites.

Here is what we know so far:

Capital One Lounge Denver International Airport (DEN)

The Denver Capital One Lounge is expected to open at some point in 2023. The lounge will be located in Concourse A at Denver (DEN) on the mezzanine level and will be Capital One’s largest lounge at 11,200 square feet. This lounge will primarily serve United and other Star Alliance passengers, though it will be accessible to any passenger via the intra-terminal train system.

Capital One Lounge Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)

The most recently announced lounge in Capital One’s network, the Las Vegas (LAS) location will be in the center of the Concourse D rotunda and will comprise 7,857 square feet. No timeline for opening is known at this time.

Capital One Lounge Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

Lastly, the Capital One Lounge at Washington, D.C. (IAD) is expected to open in the summer of 2023 and will be 9,100 square feet in size. Located immediately after TSA PreCheck in the Main Terminal, this location will be far from most of the gates, but Capital One is emphasizing the grab-and-go experience here.

Hot Tip: A new airport lounge dining concept from Capital One, Capital One Landings, is in development at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. (DCA).

How To Access Capital One Lounges

So the lounges sound fantastic from an amenities perspective, and the renderings certainly look quite nice, but the big question here is: how does one get access to these Capital One Lounges?

There are 2 different ways to gain entry to these lounges. The first is as a cardholder of either the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit CardInformation collected independently. Not reviewed by Capital One. or the Capital One Venture X Business CardInformation collected independently. Not reviewed by Capital One.. These cards grant you and up to 2 guests unlimited access to the Capital One Lounge.

Finally, the Capital One Lounges are also open to any passengers at a rate of $65 per day.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the forthcoming Capital One Lounges look and sound pretty impressive! It will be interesting to see how things develop as the lounges are being completed and whether Capital One will announce any other new lounge locations.

With the Washington Dulles and Denver locations opening in 2023 instead of 2022, due to construction delays, if you’re an eligible Capital One Venture X cardholder, you’ll be able to continue to use the Priority Pass network in both airports to satisfy your airport lounge needs.
