Miami International Airport (MIA) served almost 46 million passengers in 2019, making it the 14th-busiest airport in the U.S. for passenger traffic.
MIA is a major international airport, operating the most flights to Latin America and the Caribbean of any U.S. airport. Whether flying for business or leisure, eligible passengers can take advantage of the airport’s 11 lounges to escape the hustle and bustle of the communal departure lounges.
For information on getting into lounges around the world, see our post on the best credit cards for accessing airport lounges.
Update: Some of the lounges featured in this article may be closed or operating under reduced opening hours due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Turkish Airlines Lounge House Rules
A dress code is applicable, with shirts and shoes necessary for entry.
Hot Tip: The Turkish Airlines Lounge at MIA is considered one of the best Priority Pass lounges in the U.S.
Connecting Between Terminals for Lounge Access
Passengers are able to walk between all terminals and concourses at MIA, but it’s not possible to stay inside the secure area at all times. You can remain airside when walking between Concourses D and E and between Concourses H and J (providing you’re not arriving on an international flight).
For all other routes, passengers must clear security at the concourse entrance, so it’s important to allow plenty of time when using a lounge in another concourse. Once inside Concourse D, passengers may ride the SkyTrain that has 4 stations throughout the mile-long concourse.
Hot Tip: Read our Ultimate Terminal Guide to Miami International Airport for more information about connecting between terminals.
Best Credit Cards to Access Priority Pass Lounges
If you want to receive automatic access to the Priority Pass lounge network, you’ve got a handful of great credit card options that will do just that. Priority Pass lounge access includes 4 locations at MIA and over 1,300 other airport lounges worldwide. Priority Pass is the largest airport lounge network in the world by far, so no matter where your travels take you, there will almost always be a Priority Pass lounge to welcome you.
Our top credit card option for Priority Pass access is the Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card. With the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, you don’t just receive access to Priority Pass lounge locations — you also receive a dining credit at all Priority Pass restaurant locations. So, for example, when you visit Corona Beach House at MIA you’ll receive a $28 dining credit if you’re by yourself or a $56 credit if you’re dining with another person.
Another great option that is perhaps the best lounge credit card on the market, is the Amex Platinum card. While the Amex Platinum card does not offer access to Priority Pass restaurants, you will get access to top-notch Amex Centurion lounges, Plaza Premium lounges, Delta Sky Clubs (when flying Delta), Escape Lounges, and Airspace lounges.
Here are some other great credit card options that allow cardholders to visit Priority Pass lounges:
Final Thoughts
Miami International Airport has a pretty good selection of lounges for eligible premium passengers, frequent flyers, and credit cardholders. Priority Pass members will be pleasantly surprised with the facilities on offer in the Turkish Airlines Lounge, which has been highly reviewed by travelers.
Passengers that aren’t eligible to access The Centurion Lounge or airline lounges may consider purchasing a day pass to the Club America Lounge with a same-day boarding card for any airline.
