If you missed the opportunity to score an elevated welcome offer on the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card last year, you’re in luck. Eligible applicants can now score 75,000 bonus miles plus a $250 Capital One Travel credit after spending $4,000 on purchases within the first 3 months, and the credit is valid for a year.

The timing couldn’t be better for trips you have in mind this summer, as the bonus miles and travel credit can go a long way. With numerous ways to use these rewards, we estimate that you can get $1,600 in value for flights, hotels, vacation rentals, and so much more.

Here are more details about this limited-time welcome bonus offer, available in February 2025, and more information about how you can maximize the earning potential of this popular travel card.

Elevated Capital One Venture Card Welcome Bonus Offer

The Capital One Venture card just got a lot more rewarding with an excellent welcome bonus offer, which the issuer says is available for a limited time only.

Typically, new applicants can earn 75,000 miles after spending $4,000 on eligible purchases in the first 3 months of account opening. However, with this new welcome bonus offer, applicants also will receive a $250 Capital One Travel credit valid during their first cardholder year.

Fortunately, Capital One makes it effortless to redeem miles for travel. Every mile is worth 1 cent when used for reservations made through Capital One Travel. Alternatively, you can redeem miles for eligible travel purchases on your statement credit within 90 days, yielding the same value.

However, we much prefer to transfer miles to Capital One’s loyalty partners. With more than 15 participating airline and hotel programs, you can transfer these Capital One miles and get a much higher value for your rewards.

For example, you could transfer 75,000 or 87,500 Capital One miles to Air Canada Aeroplan and pay approximately $150 in taxes to book a one-way ticket from the West Coast to Australia in business class, depending on the flight distance.

Since Air Canada is a Star Alliance carrier, you can book discounted partner awards for United Airlines Polaris for a significantly reduced rate. This is just one of the many incredible ways you can redeem Capital One miles for maximum value!

Bottom Line:

Based on our points and miles valuations, 75,000 Capital One miles are worth roughly $1,350. Add in an extra $250 in Capital One Travel credit during your first cardholder year, and this welcome bonus offer could be worth a whopping $1,600.
