Who here has a coffee addiction? Kidding, we already know it’s everyone.
If you’re a coffee enthusiast with a crippling Starbucks addiction, we have good news for you. This summer, you can earn up to 10x points per $1 spent when paying with your eligible Chase card. Let’s take a look at the promotion details, earning rates, and how to register.
Offer Details
This promotion is as good as it gets when it comes to earning, especially if you’ve got one of the cards that’ll reward you with 10x points per dollar.
Valid for purchases now through August 31, 2022
Must activate your card to be eligible

If you have more than 1 of these eligible cards, keep in mind that you’ll only be able to activate the offer on a single card. You’ll need to have your last name, last 4 digits of your card number, and ZIP code handy in order to register.
Is It Worth It?
The obvious answer to this question is: yes, it’s always worth it to earn extra points on purchases you were going to make anyway. If you’re able to maximize this promotion with either the Chase Sapphire Preferred card or the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, you’ll be pocketing 5,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points just for fueling your coffee addiction.
However, it’s possible to wring more value out of those points — especially if you opt to transfer your points out to one of the Chase travel partners, such as World of Hyatt. This is especially true thanks to Hyatt’s semi-fixed award chart, which means you can get outsized value on great hotel redemptions.
Here’s a look at the Grand Hyatt Bali, where a 1-night stay will cost you more than $200:
Meanwhile, as a Category 1 hotel, you can redeem just 3,500 points at an off-peak rate:
Makes you want to sip some coffee, doesn’t it?
Final Thoughts
This is a great promotion for eligible Chase cardholders. Even if you’re not a huge coffee fan, Starbucks has plenty of other options on its menu. This is an easy 5,000 points (or 5% cash back) — just be sure to activate the offer by registering before August 31, 2022.
