Chase has officially opened its newest Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club location at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), bringing travelers a premium, locally inspired experience.

Upgraded Points and other media members were invited to do a guided tour of the space ahead of its opening day on February 20, 2025.

The new space is over 20,000 square feet, making it one of the largest Chase Sapphire Lounges in the network, and offers a variety of upscale amenities, from a beer garden and game room to curated dining from Middle Child Clubhouse and wellness-focused relaxation areas.

Here is a full look at everything the new Chase Sapphire Lounge at PHL has to offer to travelers.

Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Philadelphia International (PHL)

Interior and Location

The new Chase Sapphire Lounge, open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, is located post-security in the connector between Terminals D and E at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), which services Air Canada, Alaska, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, and United. That said, passengers departing from another terminal can access the lounge but must re-clear security when arriving at their departure terminal.

Upon checking in at the front desk, you’ll find that the layout of the lounge is essentially split in 2, with the food stations, dining room, beer garden, and game room to your right, and workspaces for guests, the Wellness Room, kids room, shower suites, and additional seating to your left. Those 2 wings converge at a central bar area that is open and inviting.

In the central bar area, you’ll find dark color tones and mood lighting. The bar offers a menu of specialty drinks, cocktails, beer, and wines, but it is also a full bar with bartenders who can make virtually any drink you desire.

You’ll find the seating options available, whether you’re traveling with a group, prefer to chat with strangers at the bar or seek a more private space to tuck into your new vacation read.

The rest of the lounge’s color palettes consist of light pastels combined with dark blues and blacks. Further, you still have multiple seating options ranging from private nooks, to comfy couches, and more.

An absolute home run for the new Chase Sapphire Lounge at PHL is how bright it is, thanks to all the natural light pouring into nearly every room. The lounge also features a view of the tarmac for aviation enthusiasts.

Amenities

Wellness Room and Spa Services

Travel days can be stressful, and having a space to decompress and relax can be just what the doctor ordered.

For those seeking some rejuvenation, the lounge offers a dedicated wellness area with bookable 30-minute facial treatments from Face Haus.

Once you’ve finished your facial, or if you simply want a place to take it easy, you can book one of the private rest pods.

The lounge even offers 2 bookable shower suites for those who want to freshen up before or after their flight.

Hot Tip:

Remember that all of these sections, the facial services, shower suites, and wellness pods, must be reserved and operate on a first-come-first-serve basis. Since they are likely to be popular, you’ll want to stop here first as soon as you enter the lounge to inquire about availability.

Game and Family Rooms

If you’re traveling with your family, there are plenty of options to help keep children of all ages entertained.

Starting with a playroom for young children filled with toys, books, and some pretty adorable furniture.

Next up, for older children, or even for adults who are young at heart, you have an impressive game room featuring a wide variety of arcade games, consoles like Nintendo Switch, and a handful of TV’s playing sports channels.

Speaking of sports, the game room even features a wall showcasing the sports memorabilia of many of the local Philadelphia sports teams.

Lastly, the lounge even features a separate nursing room for moms who require a little extra privacy.

Food and Drinks

Beer Garden

One of the standout features is the beer garden, which pays homage to Philadelphia’s historic brewing culture.

Guests can order beer flights featuring local craft brews and enjoy a dedicated beer garden menu with elevated pub-style fare featuring some Philly favorites like cheesesteak sliders, potato pancakes, and soft pretzels.

Dining Area

The dining setup is similar to what you might already be familiar with at other Sapphire Lounge locations. The menu is curated by Middle Child Clubhouse, a popular local restaurant known for its modern twists on classic Philly sandwiches and comfort foods.

Diners can grab a tray and select whatever items from the buffet line they fancy, or they can order from the QR code at a seat if they prefer table service or want to customize any of the food items.

A few of the items offered during my visit included the signature Sapphire burger, including an impossible version, truffle chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches, a kale avocado salad, and braised beef nachos.

Of course, don’t forget the desserts, which include brownies, cookies, and marshmallow crispy treats.

The lounge also offers multiple self-serve drink stations, which feature coffee machines, cold brew on tap, a variety of water options, sodas, juices, and more.

How To Access the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at PHL

The lounge is seriously impressive, and likely the question on many Philadelphia-based flyer’s lips right now is, “How do I get access?”

No surprises here, you’re going to need a credit card. One of these credit cards to be exact:

While having one of those 3 Chase credit cards is the easiest way to gain regular access, if you have any other card that includes Priority Pass access, you’ll receive 1 complimentary visit per year and can pay to access the lounge at a rate of $75 per visit thereafter, while all other guests who want to visit the lounge will need to pay $100 per passenger for the day.

For Philly-based flyers who travel often and plan to take advantage of the lounge, it might be well worth adding a card like the Chase Sapphire Reserve card to your wallet. Not only will you get access to the Sapphire Lounge at Philadelphia, but you’ll also be able to access all of the other locations, including Boston, New York-LaGuardia, New York-JFK, Phoenix, San Diego, and Washington-Dulles.

Final Thoughts

The new Chase Sapphire Lounge at Philadelphia International Airport brings a fresh, locally inspired touch to the airport lounge experience.

Between its beer garden, Philly-centric cuisine, extensive beverage options, wellness amenities, and game room, this new lounge has plenty for everyone to love.

We can confidently say that this is arguably the best lounge in the entire airport and is a must-visit for those flying out of or passing through Philadelphia International Airport.
