It’s been a big day for Frontier Airlines, a low-cost carrier headquartered in Denver, as it has just announced several new routes.
Let’s take a look!
New Routes With Fares Starting at $29 Each Way
Frontier, on September 7, launched 4 new routes between St. Louis (STL) to Tampa (TPA), Cleveland (CLE) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL), and from Phoenix (PHX) to Detroit (DTW) and Cincinnati (CVG). To celebrate the launch, Frontier is offering introductory fares starting at $29 one way (more on those details below).
Here are the route breakdowns:

In announcing the service from Phoenix, Frontier’s Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz, said that the airline is thrilled to offer more flights from Phoenix. Late last month, Frontier announced 10 brand-new routes from PHX that will start between November 2022 and January 2023.
“We now offer Phoenix-area consumers a wide selection of service from PHX to some of the most popular destinations in America,” said Shurz. “The future of our partnership with Phoenix Sky Harbor couldn’t be stronger as we prepare to open our new crew base at PHX in November.”
If you want to take advantage of the introductory fares, there are several things to be aware of:
All tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. EST on September 13, 2022
Fares are valid for travel between November 5, 2022, and February 2, 2023, but the following blackout dates apply on all routes:
November 19 to 23, 2022
November 25 to 28, 2022
December 16 to 18, 2022
December 22 to 24, 2022
December 26, 2022 to January 3, 2023
January 6 to 8, 2023
January 17 to 18, 2023
Keep in mind that Frontier is a low-cost carrier, which means you’ll pay extra to pick seats and check bags. These costs are not included in the base fare. Also, note that some of the cheapest fares are through the Discount Den program, which you’ll pay separately to join.
The cheapest flights appear to be on the STL to TPA route. These tickets start at $29 one-way for the 2-hour flight but note that the Discount Den fares are even cheaper.
Flights between Cleveland and Fort Lauderdale start at $39, but again note that the Discount Den tickets are cheaper.
Final Thoughts
Frontier has expanded significantly this year across the U.S., adding a plethora of domestic and international flights. If you see a flight you’re interested in, grab a deal before it’s too late!
