Nonstop Honolulu-Auckland Flights Resume in November

Hawaiian Airlines will resume nonstop service between its Honolulu (HNL) hub and Auckland, New Zealand (AKL) on November 16, 2025.

“We know Kiwi travelers have long awaited the return of our seasonal service, and our crews are thrilled to welcome them onboard once again with the authentic hospitality and care for which Hawaiian Airlines is known. Now, thanks to the strength of our combined global network, every guest flying from Hawaiʻi, the U.S. mainland, and New Zealand will have more options than ever to explore the world,” said Andrew Stanbury, regional director of the South Pacific for Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

The thrice-weekly service will be operated with the carrier’s Airbus A330 aircraft, which features 18 lie-flat business class seats in a 2-2-2 configuration, 68 Extra Comfort (soon to be known as Premium Class) seats, and 192 standard economy seats in a 3-3-3 configuration.

Flights will operate from November 16, 2025, to April 20, 2026, according to the following schedule:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: Depart Honolulu (HNL) at 1:15 p.m. and arrive in Auckland (AKL) at 9:20 p.m. (+1)
  • Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays: Depart Auckland (AKL) at 11:30 p.m. and arrive in Honolulu (HNL) 9:20 a.m.

This service provides travelers a unique way to get between the Hawaiian Islands (and North America at large) and New Zealand. The flights are timed such that West Coast travelers traveling to or from Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), Long Beach (LGB), Portland (PDX), Seattle (SEA), San Francisco (SFO), and Sacramento (SMF) can enjoy same-day connections via Honolulu.

Plus, travelers can build in a stopover in Hawaii to their larger trip, effectively taking 2 vacations in 1!

Final Thoughts

Hawaiian Airlines’ long-running nonstop seasonal service between Honolulu and Auckland will resume next month. This is great news for travelers in North America and the South Pacific looking for more ways to get between the 2 regions — and for anyone who is interested in adding an additional Hawaiian vacation onto a trip to New Zealand.
