JetBlue Airways announced on September 10 that it would expand its presence in South Florida with 9 new routes, as well as increased flights throughout its network. Now, the carrier will over 100 daily departures from Fort Lauderdale.

Here’s what you need to know.

New JetBlue Flights at FLL

JetBlue says it will offer the most departures this winter from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) with a peak of 113 per day. Additionally, the airline will increase flights on 9 high-demand routes across the U.S. and the Caribbean.

The timing couldn’t be better for Fort Lauderdale customers.

Just last week, Spirit Airlines once again filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection — months after emerging from its most recent restructuring.

To stay afloat, the airline announced that it would slash its network to focus on key markets. Some of the flights cut by Spirit included flights to and from Fort Lauderdale.
