Starting today, more Capital One cards earn better rewards on live entertainment purchases made through Capital One Entertainment.

Here’s what you need to know, details on the Capital One Entertainment platform, and how you can take advantage of the new multiplier.

Capital One Cards Earn More on Live Entertainment

Capital One Entertainment is a great platform to score tickets to a sporting event, concert, or comedy show. Before today, only a few Capital One cards earned extra rewards when used for purchases with Capital One Entertainment.

Today, the issuer added the following cards:

The cards that earn Capital One miles now earn 5 miles per $1 spent on Capital One Entertainment, while the cash-back cards now earn 5% cash-back on Capital One Entertainment purchases.

This is a great bonus if you regularly book tickets to shows or sporting events. This is in addition to the following cards that already give additional miles and cash-back through the portal:

What Is Capital One Entertainment?

Capital One Entertainment is a digital ticketing platform that is exclusive to holders of Capital One credit cards. Cardholders can get presale access to certain live events, including VIP events, meet-and-greets, and exclusive events like the Capital One Orange Bowl, NCAA March Madness, the iHeartRadio Music Festival, and more. The Major League Baseball playoffs, including the World Series, is one event coming up that’s available for presale through Capital One.

To access the platform, you must have a valid consumer or small business credit card from Capital One.

Final Thoughts

This is a great bonus for cards with lower annual fees in the Capital One portfolio. It’s a great time for cardholders to audit and analyze the cards currently in their wallets.

For example, if you have one of the cards with a higher annual fee, like the Capital One Venture X card, it could be time to consider whether you’re getting value from the card’s perks. Starting today, you can earn the same amount of miles on your next set of concert tickets with the Capital One VentureOne card, which has a $0 annual fee (rates & fees).
