Shark Week-Inspired Drinks Debut at Admirals Clubs for a Limited Time

Shark Week is almost here, and American Airlines is diving into the hype.

For a limited time, nearly 50 Admirals Club locations around the U.S. will serve Shark Week-inspired cocktails and mocktails to travelers.

If you want to add a little extra bite to your preflight drink, be sure to stop by the lounge next week.

Shark Week at American Airlines

Shark Week kicks off on Sunday, July 20, 2025, and American Airlines can help you celebrate some Shark Week-inspired cocktails and mocktails plus exclusive in-flight entertainment previews for passengers.

Travelers passing through select Admirals Clubs from July 20 to 26 can try a pair of ocean-inspired creations from the bar:

• Cocktail: Lemonade, coconut rum, lemon vodka, blue curaçao, lemon seltzer, garnished with a gummy shark and a splash of grenadine
• Mocktail: Blue lemonade, coconut water, lemon seltzer, gummy shark, and grenadine

The shark-fueled fun doesn’t end on the ground. Passengers flying American Airlines also have early access to one of Shark Week’s most jaw-dropping episodes, “Battle for Shark Mountain.”

Whether you are diving into the summer fun in the lounge or in the sky, American Airlines has your Shark Week pop culture fix covered.

And for those who prefer superheroes over apex predators, AA is still celebrating the recent premiere of the new Superman movie with a special non-alcoholic drink at the bar.

This mocktail features blue lemonade, pineapple juice, coconut water, a red sugared rim, and a maraschino cherry.

The “heroic pour” is available at all Admirals Club lounges through July 20.

Admirals Club Access

Admirals Clubs can be a great place to escape the chaos of the airport terminal and grab something to eat, drink, and connect to the WiFi. However, not everyone gets access to these lounges.

If you are flying on an eligible first or business class flight, or hold the Citi^® / AAdvantage^® Executive World Elite Mastercard^®, you will be able to grab one of these fun drinks.

Alternatively, you can get access if you:

• Purchase a day pass
• Purchase an annual Admirals Club membership
• Have American Airlines AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro, or Platinum status while flying internationally on American Airlines or Oneworld partners
• Have either Oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status when flying American Airlines or a Oneworld partner
• Uniformed military personnel flying on American Airlines
