There’s a new welcome bonus offer for the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card.

This new 2-part welcome offer requires a decent amount of spend, but it’s a good opportunity to earn a large chunk of Rapid Rewards points.

Here are the details of this new Southwest credit card welcome offer.

Earn Up to 120,000 Rapid Rewards Points

You can earn up to 120,000 Rapid Rewards points after applying for the Southwest Premier Business card.

  • Earn 60,000 points after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months after account opening.
  • Earn an additional 60,000 points after spending a total of $15,000 in the first 9 months after account opening.

That’s a total of 120,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points after spending $15,000 in 9 months. While that’s a hefty spending minimum, you’ll have 9 months to complete it, which makes this offer much more enticing.

If you spend $15,000 on the card to meet the full welcome offer, that’s like earning 8 points per dollar on all of your purchases (before taking into account any category bonuses on the card).

Southwest Rapid Rewards points are worth about 1.3 cents apiece, which makes this bonus worth $1,560 according to our estimations. Southwest points can be used for international flights to destinations like the Caribbean in addition to domestic flights.

Hot Tip:

Even better, points earned from Southwest credit card welcome bonus offers count toward earning a Companion Pass, so the 120,000 points you can earn from this new welcome offer on the Southwest Premier Business card will get you most of the way there.

Benefits of the Southwest Premier Business Card

The Southwest Premier Business card is 1 of 2 Southwest co-branded business cards. Its list of benefits isn’t quite as robust as the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card, but it has a lower annual fee and still offers some nice perks for Southwest Airlines flyers:

  • Earn 3x points per $1 spent on Southwest Airlines purchases
  • Earn 2x points per $1 spent on Rapid Rewards hotel and car rental partners and local transit and commuting, including rideshares
  • Earn 1x points on all other purchases
  • 2 complimentary EarlyBird Check-In credits each year
  • 6,000 anniversary bonus points (worth ~$78 based on our estimations)
  • Earn 1,500 tier qualifying points toward A-List and A-List Preferred status for every $5,000 spent annually on the card

Final Thoughts

There’s a new welcome offer on the Southwest Premier Business card available. You can earn 60,000 points after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months and an additional 60,000 points after spending a total of $15,000 in the first 9 months after account opening, for a total of 120,000 Rapid Rewards points.
